Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD has discovered that BOCW weapons’ high-zoom optics have no glint in Warzone but surprisingly, some lower magnification scopes do reveal your location.
To balance sniper rifles, most FPS games add a ‘glint’ to sniper scopes so that players can see where they are being shot from. In Modern Warfare, all scopes above around a 4x magnification have this scope glint.
With Cold War weapons, there doesn’t appear to be a logical reason as to why some scopes have a glint and why some don’t. Popular Warzone YouTuber JGOD, who is known for testing the nitty-gritty aspects of the game, has tested all of the BOCW weapons’ sniper scopes for glint and found surprising results.
BOCW guns broken sniper glint
In JGOD’s most recent video, titled ‘It’s insane which Cold War optics hide glint in Warzone,’ he shows every BOCW weapon scope, revealing whether they have a glint or not.
As you would expect, the lower magnification scopes such as 2x, 3x, and 4x don’t have glint. However, the SUSAT Multizoom 2x-4x variable zoom scope does show glint. This renders this scope obsolete, so you’re better off using any of these other scopes instead.

Where it continues to get surprising is the high-zoom sniper scopes don’t show glint. 6x zoom is around standard for a sniper rifle, so you’d assume it would show a glint, but it doesn’t. And further, the 1x-20x optic which is also available for Tactical Rifles doesn’t reveal your location – so the DMR 14 has just got even better at range.
Most surprisingly, and perhaps the most broken, the Ultrazoom Custom 2x-20x scope does not have a glint. Go prone in the hills or in some foliage and the enemies will never know where they’re being sniped from. Pair this scope with the Tundra and you’ll be able to take out full squads at range without them ever knowing where you are.
The default scopes that come attached to snipers show glint, so if you’re building your own, you’re better off adding a custom high-zoom scope to your loadout sniper.
As JGOD says, it’s likely that his discovery will lead to a META shift. Beginning a squad fight with a well-placed sniper shot is sure to give your team the upper hand in a fight, and this has now become a whole lot easier.

Frustrating Warzone Season 3 glitch is letting players under Verdansk ’84’s Airport
Verdansk ’84 is barely a week old, and it already has a game-breaking wall glitch in the revamped Season 3 Airport POI.
Warzone Season 3 is fresh off the heels of its Verdansk ’84 map revamp, and one of its key POIs – Airport – is already being affected by a devastating wall glitch that lets players underneath.
We’re only a few days removed from the seismic, two-day nuke event that permanently reshaped Call of Duty: Warzone’s Verdansk forever. The Season 2 Zombie invasion has been vanquished, but players have been left guessing about the future of the map as Activision took them back over 30 years to Verdnask in 1984.
The change has changed several of the map’s key landing zones, including repairing Airport. Ironically, in fixing Airport, it appears that it has simultaneously broken the map as the area has a wall glitch that allows players to hide underneath Verdansk ’84.
In a game of Plunder on Verdansk ’84, Reddit user weeabooDude762 began their quest to scavenge as much cash as they possibly could by dropping into Airport.
They readied themself to enter a building when they noticed that their character model hadn’t bounced off of the wall next to them. After firing at the wall and pondering for a second or two, they thrust themself into the apparently invisible wall.
In a scene out of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the player enters the wall and emerges on the other side – inside and under Airport.
With this newfound freedom, they searched around the area to see where they could and couldn’t go. There were plenty of spare textures under the map to use as platforms to negotiate around the uncharted territory. They even fired their gun through the map on multiple occasions, leaving bullet holes as evidence.
After a couple of minutes of doing this, they got bored and re-entered the map to compete as usual. On one hand, this bug isn’t the worst one we’ve ever seen in Warzone as it only limits the player to Airport, as there aren’t enough textures that extend to the rest of the map.
But it does mean that either at the start of a game or at the end with a matching circle, players can exploit Airport to kill players from underneath the map.
It seems concerning we’ve had several instances of wall glitches like this, yet logic says to just make these walls one-way to avoid players clipping or firing through them.
Warzone has notoriously been buggy, and given that Verdansk ’84 is relatively untested, there’s always the possibility that more gaps in the map are possible.

Following Warzone’s Nuke Event, Verdansk has been destroyed. Cold War and Warzone Season 3 and Verdansk ’84 are now live, so here’s how it all went down.
Due to leaks and rumors, many believed that Verdansk would be destroyed at the end of Season 2. This turned out to be true, and after a two-stage live event in-game, Season 3 has launched, and Warzone has traveled back in time to Verdansk ‘84.
Here’s a full recap of the Warzone Season 3 Nuke Event, explaining why it happened and how it went down.
Why did Verdansk get nuked?
It had been long leaked and theorized that a nuke would destroy Verdansk. The Tactical Nuke has long been a staple in the Modern Warfare franchise, first being a major plot point in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and then being the ultimate Killstreak to earn in-game from MW2 onwards.
Since the nuke was discovered, players have been waiting to see how it would impact the game. Many expected a nuke to hit Verdansk and usher in a new map, and Season 2’s launch made it all the more likely.
At the beginning of Season 2, missile silos appeared beneath memorials around Verdansk, and a mysterious ship, the Vodianoy, crash-landed on the shore between Prison and Port. Zombies were aboard this ship, and they ravaged location after location until they reached Dam, where “Verdansk was all but gone to the damned.”
The Zombie threat was too great, so Operators (players) were deployed to Verdansk to contain the threat, but they failed. To save the world, Verdansk was nuked.
Warzone Season 3 Nuke Event Part 1 recap
After a season-long Zombie outbreak, it culminated in the nuking of Verdansk. This was a live event in-game, where players played an active part in Verdansk’s final moments.
After a playlist update on April 21, all modes were replaced with “The Destruction of Verdansk Part 1.” Queuing into this playlist would bring players into what appeared to be a regular match of Warzone, but with several important twists.
The Black Ops’ Zombies theme tune blared over the mode, and all the Radiation Zones were active. Rather than a Pistol, players also dropped in with a Shotgun, and there were only SMGs and other Shotguns to be found on the map.
As the gas cloud brought players towards Dam, those that perished along the way came back as Zombies. These Zombies had the goal of preventing the living from leaving, and those still alive had to get out.
Once the exfil was ready, those still alive had to board the helicopter over Dam’s frozen lake and escape. After that, cutscene began which showed a nuke fly towards Verdansk and destroy the map.
In the aftermath, the battle royale action took place on nighttime Rebirth Island. This mode took place 15 minutes after Verdasnk was destroyed, and players could see the mushroom cloud and fallout in the distance.
The second part of the event was scheduled for April 22.
Warzone Season 3 Nuke Event Part 2 recap
While players waited for the second stage of the Nuke Event, Season 3 officially began and Verdansk ’84 was revealed.
Following Verdansk’s destruction, Warzone was set to head back to the 1980s to continue the mission to rescue Russel Adler for the Hunt for Adler event. A celebrity commercial showcased some new areas of the map and a teaser site revealed some of the changed locations.
After a full day of Verdansk being gone, another playlist update hit Warzone, and players were instructed to “Return to Rebirth Island IMMEDIATELY.”
The “Destruction of Verdansk Part 2” playlist went live, and players had to play a ‘capture the flag’ style game mode on Rebirth Island, with teams duking it out to be the one to destroy Verdansk.
Once the winning player, or team, had detonated the nuke, a cutscene played. This showcased the nuke hitting Verdansk, but then time rewound all the way back to 1984.
Players then seamlessly deployed into the new Warzone map, Verdansk ’84, which brought classic locations such as Summit and Standoff, as well as a brand-new Gulag.
That’s everything that happened in Warzone’s Nuke Event! The new map, Verdansk ’84, is now live, but Activision has confirmed that the original Verdansk will not be playable again.

How to unlock the LC10 SMG in Cold War & Warzone Season 3
Getting your hands on the LC10 in Cold War & Warzone Season 3 is easy, with challenges unlocking the weapon in multiplayer and Zombies.
The compact LC10 SMG is a shredding machine in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, and while it was part of the Season 2 Battle Pass, there are now new challenges to let you get your hands on it in Season 3.
If you didn’t manage to unlock it through the Season 2 Battle Pass, Treyarch has now added some new challenges to give you a second chance to grab it. Here’s everything you need to know to get your hands on the LC10.
Black Ops Cold War Season 3 LC10 challenges
The LC10 is a fully-automatic SMG that certainly packs a punch in the right hands. While it’s not the most powerful gun in its class, its high rate of fire and solid accuracy make it a menace on the map. The gun was so popular, that players were inclined to use it no matter if they were playing multiplayer or League Play.
With the Cold War Season 2 Battle Pass now finished, players will instead need to complete challenges to unlock the weapon. Thankfully, these challenges aren’t too difficult, with tasks for both normal multiplayer and Zombies.
The challenges are:
- Multiplayer / Warzone: Using SMGs, get 3 kills without dying in 15 different matches
- Zombies: Using SMGs, kill 250 enemies that are on fire.
Completing both of these challenges won’t be too difficult, although they may be time-consuming. 15 matches may sound like a lot, but hopping into a small-map playlist like Nuketown should make it fairly easy, with plenty of enemies around in a small space.
You’ll also be able to use any SMG you wish, so you can pick your current favorite and get to work unlocking the LC10. There are similar challenges to unlock the FARA 83 assault rifle, so don’t worry if you haven’t unlocked it yet either.
