JGOD reveals ‘broken’ Black Ops Cold War scopes have no glint in Warzone

YouTuber JGOD has discovered the game-breaking fact that BOCW weapons’ high-zoom optics don’t show a sniper glint in Warzone.

Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD has discovered that BOCW weapons’ high-zoom optics have no glint in Warzone but surprisingly, some lower magnification scopes do reveal your location.

To balance sniper rifles, most FPS games add a ‘glint’ to sniper scopes so that players can see where they are being shot from. In Modern Warfare, all scopes above around a 4x magnification have this scope glint.

With Cold War weapons, there doesn’t appear to be a logical reason as to why some scopes have a glint and why some don’t. Popular Warzone YouTuber JGOD, who is known for testing the nitty-gritty aspects of the game, has tested all of the BOCW weapons’ sniper scopes for glint and found surprising results.

BOCW guns broken sniper glint

In JGOD’s most recent video, titled ‘It’s insane which Cold War optics hide glint in Warzone,’ he shows every BOCW weapon scope, revealing whether they have a glint or not.

As you would expect, the lower magnification scopes such as 2x, 3x, and 4x don’t have glint. However, the SUSAT Multizoom 2x-4x variable zoom scope does show glint. This renders this scope obsolete, so you’re better off using any of these other scopes instead.

Where it continues to get surprising is the high-zoom sniper scopes don’t show glint. 6x zoom is around standard for a sniper rifle, so you’d assume it would show a glint, but it doesn’t. And further, the 1x-20x optic which is also available for Tactical Rifles doesn’t reveal your location – so the DMR 14 has just got even better at range.

LW3 Tundra sniper being used in Warzone

Most surprisingly, and perhaps the most broken, the Ultrazoom Custom 2x-20x scope does not have a glint. Go prone in the hills or in some foliage and the enemies will never know where they’re being sniped from. Pair this scope with the Tundra and you’ll be able to take out full squads at range without them ever knowing where you are.

The default scopes that come attached to snipers show glint, so if you’re building your own, you’re better off adding a custom high-zoom scope to your loadout sniper.

As JGOD says, it’s likely that his discovery will lead to a META shift. Beginning a squad fight with a well-placed sniper shot is sure to give your team the upper hand in a fight, and this has now become a whole lot easier.

New Warzone RPD stealth buff makes LMG insanely strong

The Warzone community has recently been discussing what appears to be a stealth buff for the RPD that makes the LMG even better.

The RPD appears to have gotten a stealth buff that supposedly makes the LMG much stronger in Warzone Season 6 than before.

Warzone Season 6 has seen many weapons come to the forefront, with the current meta including weapons like the Cold War AK-47 and the Bullfrog.

Having said that, some players have picked up on a stealth buff for the RPD‘s recoil that was introduced in Season 6, potentially making it insanely strong.

Before this stealth buff, the RPD’s recoil acted very similar to the Cold War MP5, which meant that the recoil would stabilize and no longer continue going vertically, making it fairly easy to control after firing a certain number of shots.

Players realized that this had changed for the RPD in Season 6, with some even claiming that the stealth change made the weapon even easier to control, becoming one of the best weapons to use.

In his most recent video, JGOD investigated this stealth buff for the RPD, testing out just how good it is now after the recoil change.

The RPD’s recoil now continues to go vertically at a consistent pace even after firing consecutive bullets, which JGOD says “actually makes the weapon easier to control, surprising.”

This is because weapons with consistent recoil patterns are generally easier to control compared to weapons with more sporadic patterns.

The RPD’s new recoil means that players don’t need to adjust their analog or mouse once they have the recoil pattern down, as it remains the same until the mag finishes.

This is ultimately the main reason players are finding success with this weapon after the change and calling it meta in Season 6.

However, according to the stats by JGOD, the RPD’s damage numbers are still not as great as some of the other Warzone Season 6 meta weapons, as its TTK falls below other options.

Further, JGOD personally feels as if the “rate of fire” is what prevents the RPD from being meta in Season 6.

Overall the RPD is still a good LMG in Warzone Season 6, but you may be better off using the FiNN or the RAAL if you’re looking for a better LMG option.

Best PKM loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 6

The PKM is one of Warzone’s strongest LMGs, and with these attachments and perks, you’ll be using the best Warzone PKM loadout.

Best Warzone PKM Loadout

The PKM is one of the strongest LMGs in Warzone Season 6, excelling at range with a high damage potential and large magazine size, so using the best Warzone PKM loadout will help you find success.

Warzone Season 6 has seen a few weapons rise to the top of the meta, such as the C58, Cold War AK-47, and Gallo SA12, especially after the dominant Krig 6 was nerfed.

If you’re looking for something new to try, look no further than the PKM LMG, which can keep up with any meta weapons builds. It’s especially effective against snipers as its ammunition belt allows for heavy suppressive fire.

The PKM is an excellent addition to any Warzone squad and holds its own in BR solos and the Iron Trials mode. Here are the attachments and perks to make the best Warzone PKM loadout to maximize this LMG’s potential across Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: 26.9″ Extended Barrel
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Snatch Grip

The best Warzone PKM loadout is much slower than Assault Rifles in the primary category, so make sure you have a strong close-range weapon as your secondary such as the MAC-10 or MP5.

Stick to the outdoors or hold down buildings with this loadout, and you’ll find squads running for cover as you relentlessly rain down rounds on them.

As this PKM is built for range, the Monolithic Suppressor and 26.9″ Extended Barrel are necessary for maximizing its damage potential.

The VLK 3.0x Optic also helps with range with its solid magnification and hidden buff to recoil control. In most circumstances, 100 rounds will be enough but be careful of using the PKM out in the open as it has a slow reload time.

All these attachments, which maximize range, slow the best Warzone PKM loadout down. Adding a Tac Laser and the Snatch Grip counters these heavy attachments, vastly increasing its ADS time and recoil control.

If you get caught in an ambush or spot a sniper glint, you’ll still have time to react and get accurate shots downrange.

Best perks to use with PKM class

A Warzone loadout is nothing without its perks, so you want to run upgrades that will help you to survive in any situation.

Warzone EOD perk
  • Perk 1: E.O.D
  • Perk 2: Overkill then Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped

Explosives are incredibly lethal in Warzone, which is why so many players run semtex as their lethal equipment. If you have any hope of surviving a barrage of explosives, you need to run E.O.D. As long as you have any armor, you’ll be able to tank explosions.

When carrying the best Warzone PKM loadout, you’ll need something for CQB in your pocket. An SMG or shotgun will be crucial to winning close-range fights, and Overkill allows you to receive two primary weapons from one loadout drop.

You’ll also want Ghost from your next loadout to keep you hidden from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors.

As the best Warzone PKM loadout is a light machine gun, it’s extremely heavy. Swapping weapons while carrying an LMG is a tedious task and will probably get you killed while in a pinch. Amped vastly increases your weapon swap speed, meaning you can almost instantly pull out a sidearm like the MP5 or FFAR.

Most recent PKM buffs and nerfs

Raven Software has not made any significant changes to the PKM LMG in some time, but we will update this section with the latest changes if they are ever made.

How to unlock the PKM

Warzone PKM

The PKM is an easy weapon to unlock in Modern Warfare and Warzone, considering it is unlocked by default. You won’t have to do anything to obtain this weapon for the best Warzone PKM loadout.

Best alternatives

If you’re not feeling the best Warzone PKM loadout after some gameplay, you should try out some other LMG’s, like the Bruen Mk9 and the Stoner 63. Or, if you want a long-range Assault Rifle, the Kilo 141 remains a solid choice.

Aydan and Cold MP5 in Warzone

Warzone has a wide assortment of different powerful weapons that you can use in combat, and top player Aydan has revealed his loadout for the Cold War MP5, which he considers to be the best SMG in Warzone Season 6.

SMGs are the ideal choice for close-quarter combat situations in Warzone, as they let you take out enemies quickly while you’re on the move. There are various powerful SMGs for you to choose from.

In a new video, Warzone star Aydan stated that the Cold War MP5 is the best SMG that you can use in Season 6 and revealed his recommended loadout class for the powerful weapon.

Aydan’s MP5 Warzone loadout

Aydan's Cold War MP5 loadout

Aydan claims that the MP5 is possibly “the best secondary in Warzone,” tied closely with the OTs 9. His loadout revolves around boosting the MP5 SMG’s mobility in close-quarter encounters.

Here is Aydan’s MP5 Warzone loadout:

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
  • Ammunition: STANAG 50 Rnd drum

The Agency Suppressor increases the weapon’s effective damage range, bullet velocity, recoil control, and suppresses your shots while hiding you on the minimap. This along with the Tiger Team Spotlight helps you react to enemies quickly.

Aydan attached Raider Stock and Bruiser Grip for extra mobility, and the boost to your strafe speed will help you dodge gunfire during close and medium-range combat.

Lastly, the STANAG 50 Rnd drum ensures you have plenty of ammo to mow down multiple opponents before you have to reload. With this loadout, Aydan was able to score 38 kills easily in the match.

Be sure to try this loadout for yourself the next time you jump into Verdansk. There are also other viable SMGs that you can try out like the new LAPA SMG. Content creator JGOD considers the OTS-9 to be the best SMG in Warzone, so try that out too.
