Black Ops Cold War’s weapons in Warzone have had several issues with attachments not working as intended, but a secret buff to Rear Grips, discovered by YouTuber JGOD, has made Sniper Rifles even stronger.

Warzone players who follow YouTubers such as JGOD and TrueGameData know that the Rear Grip attachments on Black Ops Cold War weapons don’t work as intended. While they’re labeled as giving an improvement to aim down sight speed, they actually have the opposite effect.

However, following the Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update, Raven Software has made changes to these Rear Grips not listed in the patch notes which will make Cold War Snipers even better.

Since the update, JGOD has been testing Cold War’s weapons in Warzone, and while he found that the FFAR was secretly nerfed, he also discovered that certain Rear Grips have now received a buff.

The Speed Tape and Serpent Wraps for Cold War’s Snipers now work closer to what they describe and will increase your ADS time, making Snipers much quicker and easier to use.

JGOD explains how with the right attachments, the LW3 Tundra can actually become as fast as the SP-R 208. If you make sure to have the Serpent Wrap on the Tundra, you’ll feel a large boost to ADS speed and can quickscope enemies around Verdansk with ease.

These grips can also be applied to the FFAR which can counteract the nerfs to the popular FFAR attachments. Attaching the Serpent Wrap will increase the ADS speed, but JGOD explains that this isn’t necessary unless you’re really finding it sluggish – our best FFAR loadout will be ideal.

If you’ve been avoiding Cold War’s snipers because of their slow ADS speed, give the Serpent Wrap a try and you’ll find much more success with your sniping. However, you should avoid the Dropshot Wrap, Jungle Wrap, and Airborne Elastic Wrap, as these will still slow your ADS speed.

JGOD has more testing to do on Cold War weapons, and we’ll be sure to report on any of the major finds.
