Aim down sight speed is an important stat in Call of Duty, with the lower the ADS speed, the better. YouTuber JGOD has discovered that a Vanguard attachment has a secret power that will slash your ADS speed for free.

Warzone’s competition is perhaps now the toughest its ever been, with players paying constant attention to the meta. As always, you want a weapon with a fast TTK, low recoil, and a rapid aim down sight (ADS) speed.

Usually, there are certain trade-offs you need to consider when building the best loadout. However, JGOD has come across an attachment that secretly lowers your ADS time, without any drawbacks.

JGOD discovered that Vanguard weapons’ On-Hand Perk lowers your ADS time, although it’s not included in the Warzone attachment’s description. While the in-game description says that On-Hand offers “Less downtime after using equipment,” it will actually reduce your ADS time.

JGOD was using the new website Sym.gg, a Battlefield stats website that accessed Warzone’s in-game stats for completely accurate values. Messing around with the Bren attachments, he discovered that adding On-Hand reduced the ADS time by 33ms or two frames at 60 FPS.

Usually, you need to sacrifice accuracy, recoil control, or sprint-to-fire time to increase your ADS speed, but not with On-Hand. Because this falls under the Perk category, it doesn’t offer any negatives.

Some users in the comments called the 33ms reduction a “waste,” but JGOD explained that the popular Stippled Grip attachment offers a 20ms reduction, and the Serpent Wrap a 30ms reduction — and they come with drawbacks. “Adding an attachment like that for free is such a waste,” said JGOD sarcastically.

This discovery prompted more users to test it. Popular leaker TheGhostOfHope said that they “used it on the Automaton and it feels like night and day difference.” It doesn’t lower ADS time the same on every weapon, but it’s worth testing on your favorites to see.

The KG M40 first arrived in Warzone Pacific Season 2 and was recognized for its extremely low recoil, but it didn’t gain much popularity due to the competitive Assault Rifle meta that was present at the time.

However, numerous Warzone experts feel that this is the easiest weapon to use in Season 4 and could be the new meta following its recent buffs. We’ll go over the right attachments, Perks, and Equipment for the best KG M40 loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 4.

CoD Warzone 2: Leaks, rumors, platforms & release window

Activision are developing Warzone 2, so here’s everything we know about the sequel to CoD’s popular battle royale.

Published

on

Activision have confirmed a sequel to Warzone will be coming, and here’s everything we know about Warzone 2, including all leaks, rumors, and the release window.

Call of Duty: Warzone has changed significantly since its March 2020 release, with the game receiving every weapon from Black Ops Cold War as well as Vanguard, Verdansk getting nuked, and the setting now taking place in the Pacific.

Now, Activision are looking at moving the battle royale title on further, as they have confirmed that along with Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2 is also in the works.

Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

What is Call of Duty: Warzone 2?

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is the sequel to CoD’s hit battle royale, which is set to bring “new technology, new features, and new gameplay that work seamlessly together.”

Warzone 2 will be closely related to Modern Warfare 2, featuring “Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories.”

When could Warzone 2 release?

Activision have confirmed that Warzone 2 is set to release later this year, 2022, after the release of Modern Warfare 2 on October 28.

Many believe Warzone 2 could follow the same release pattern as its predecessor, releasing around five months after (Modern Warfare 2019).

We don’t yet have an official release date for Warzone 2, but as more information is released we will be sure to update this piece.

Warzone 2 platforms

Warzone 2 will be released on both current and last-gen consoles, as well as Battle.net and Steam for PC. Following in Modern Warfare 2’s footsteps, Warzone 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Activision confirmed the news on June 8 as they look to provide a wide-reaching experience across both titles.

While Tom Henderson’s previously stated that Warzone 2 will only be on current-gen and PC, he also said there’s a “possibility” that it will also release on previous-gen consoles too.

While Warzone 2 will be a “completely new game for better hardware,” he said it’s possible that they will release a separate previous-gen version without cross-generation play. DICE did a similar thing with Battlefield 2042, where previous-gen consoles received a scaled-back version.

We would expect improved visuals, and maybe even the highly-requested FOV slider on next-gen consoles. He said that “it’s believed this move is to finally move over to current-gen hardware in the best way possible.”

Warzone 2 gameplay

Henderson claims that Warzone 2 will be a “clean slate” which means “starting again, scrapping everything like weapons, operators etc.”

He said that “Warzone 2 is basically a new COD title,” and players should “look at it as a sequel.” Activision later confirmed that Warzone inventory including current weapons, Operators, Perks, and Killstreaks will not transfer over to Warzone 2.

On May 18, players received plenty of new information concerning possible Warzone 2 gameplay. For starters, leakers Henderson and NerosCinema both reported that Warzone 2 will come with loadout drop changes.

A new mechanic called Strongholds is set to alter the way players receive their loadouts. According to leaks, players can approach one of the 20-30 Stronghold areas on the map and complete a set of objectives. Once these objectives are complete they’ll gain access to their loadouts.

Some of the reported objectives involve defusing a bomb or defeating AI enemies. Strongholds will surely add a new layer of strategy to Warzone as each Stronghold can only be captured once per game.

According to the same report, looting will also undergo changes and resemble the system used in Black Ops 4’s Blackout. Supposedly, you won’t spawn in with any armor and you’ll need to find a satchel to equip plates.

This isn’t the only feature that could be returning from previous CoD titles as Pro Perks could also appear. These boosted Perks first arrived in 2009’s Modern Warfare and they provide additional features that will benefit players. NerosCinema believes they’ll make their way to Warzone 2.

It seems Warzone 2 could also borrow from competitors by reportedly introducing a bag system for inventory management, similar to Apex Legends or PUBG.

Furthermore, Call of Duty devs have confirmed that the RICOCHET anti-cheat system will be available in both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 at launch. This should provide a fresh opportunity for players looking to play a cheater-free battle royale from the start.

Warzone 2 maps

At the time of writing, there’s no official confirmation concerning the maps that players will be able to drop into when Warzone 2 finally launches. But there have been a handful of leaks that might shed some light on possible POIs.

Industry insider Tom Henderson has reported that four classic Modern Warfare 2 maps are set to return as POIs for the Warzone 2 map. Once again, this information has not been confirmed but Henderson believes that High Rise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afghan are the four maps that will feature in Warzone 2.

Later Henderson would go on to reveal what he believed to be all 18 Warzone 2 POIs. He couldn’t go into specifics about each one, but he did share the names of each one:

  • Oasis
  • Wartorn
  • Quarry (Quarry)
  • Oilfield
  • Modern City (Highrise)
  • Caves (Afghan)
  • Dam
  • Marshes
  • Harbor
  • Sira
  • Observatory
  • Mountain town (possibly Favela)
  • Graveyard
  • Oldtown
  • Shipwreck
  • Fishtown
  • Fort
  • Airport (Terminal)

Nothing is confirmed here, and there is also every chance that the names of these POIs could change ahead of release. He also stated that there could very well be more than just four MW2 maps that appear, so some of these POIs could hide another classic map from 2009.

Continuing with the leaks, TheMW2Ghost shared a recreation of what they claim to be the Warzone 2 map.

The map lacks detail at this stage, but it shows what appear to be roads passing through the map. In addition, there’s a large river cutting through the middle of the map. While this isn’t official artwork they claim that it is a “remake based off of the actual map image.”

While we don’t have official images of the map as of yet, Tom Henderson also revealed a drawing of the map that highlights map information from the industry insider.

As you can see the map is set to be on the coast similar to Verdansk, and the POIs by the water could make use of the new swimming mechanic that is expected in Warzone 2.

When speaking of the map size, Henderson said “it does seem bigger than that of Verdansk and Caldera, especially considering if the grid reference is accurate.” Henderson also claimed that Warzone 2 would share the same map with Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ game mode.

On July 2, a major Modern Warfare 2 leak revealed images of several multiplayer maps including Ground War maps. As previously mentioned by Infinity Ward, Ground War maps will come together to form the new Warzone 2 map.

Hydro was the first Ground War map to leak, and the image above showcases a desert landscape with water flowing through the center. Given that Infinity Ward confirmed the Warzone 2 engine will support swimming, don’t be surprised to see many POIs featuring water.

The next map that was a part of the Ground War leak is Fishtown. If we take the name of the map into account this could turn out to be a port city of some sort. The image already reveals a beach that trails off right before we see the shore.

The final Ground War map revealed in the leak is called Sira. Sira looks much less rural than the previous two maps, with a modern-looking facility taking center stage. There is still evidence of a tropical environment given the number of palm trees in the image.

Will Warzone still exist after Warzone 2 releases?

Activision have confirmed that Warzone will continue to exist after Warzone 2 is released: “Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience.”

Having said that, Warzone 2 will be a brand new game, separate from the original, meaning that player inventories will be reset.

Cheaters infest Warzone again as players claim providers are back with free hacks

Warzone players are frustrated with a recent increase in the number of cheaters running rampant in Season 4 of the battle royale.

Published

on

Frustrated players are claiming that an uptick in cheaters during Warzone Season 4 is a direct effect of cheat providers offering free hacks.

Warzone Season 4 delivered a ton of new content to enjoy including the brand-new Fortune’s Keep map that players have praised for its exciting gameplay. Unfortunately, a recent increase in the number of cheaters is ruining the fun and leading to a frustrated community of players.

After RICOCHET anti-cheat made running into Warzone hacks less frequent, players claim that cheat providers are returning with new and improved software to bypass the anti-cheat. To make matters worse, it seems providers are offering their cheats free of charge.

Warzone has always had a major issue with cheaters ruining matches for legitimate players. Without a proper anti-cheat protecting Warzone players, cheat providers had nothing to worry about.

This all changed with the launch of RICOCHET during Warzone Pacific Season 1. Since then, RICOCHET has implemented several methods to prevent cheaters from running rampant.

For a while, it became less common for cheaters to appear in-game, as the anti-cheat successfully snuffed out hacks. However, it seems that cheat providers have finally caught up to RICOCHET in Season 4, with many players reporting an increase in cheaters.

A post from the Warzone subreddit has players discussing why the recent uptick in cheaters has occurred. For starters, most players claimed that cheat providers have been offering their hacks for free as of late: “Engineowning Hack company is giving out a free wall hack this weekend for the fourth!! that’s why.”

The fact that Warzone cheats are available for free is a major issue in itself, but the most pressing matter that players discussed was the fact that cheat providers have updated their services to counter RICOCHET in its current state.

After being relativity quiet for a long period of time, it seems cheat providers have returned with new products that are designed to bypass the current version of RICOCHET: “A streamer said that a company that makes the cheats put out a update to be able to cheat again.”

It looks like RICOCHET and cheat providers will continue to trade blows in a repetitive cycle. We already know that RICOCHET is a form of software that adapts to new cheats and improves its ability to pinpoint cheaters over time.

As cheat providers continue to develop new and improved cheats, RICOCHET will take some time to catch up before it can detect and eliminate hackers. However, once it does catch up, the number of hackers should drop significantly thus repeating the cycle once more.
