New Modern Warfare MP maps returning soon

Killhouse added to Modern Warfare, as two more maps to come soon.

Killhouse in Modern Warfare

Following the Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update, Modern Warfare received three new maps – Call of Duty 4’s Killhouse, Al-Raab Airbase, and Drainage. Now, the two new maps have been temporarily removed but will return soon, and Killhouse still remains.

Although Call of Duty games usually lose the majority of their player base when the next installment of the franchise releases, Black Ops Cold War’s joint progression system has given Modern Warfare fans a reason to stay. Even while playing 2019’s title, they will continue to increase their rank in Warzone and Cold War.

Modern Warfare’s content lifecycle was set to end in November 2020 with the release of Cold War, but as part of Warzone’s mid-Season 2 update, Activision treated fans to three new maps: Killhouse, Al-Raab Airbase, and Drainage.

Killhouse was, and still is, available in a 24/7 playlist in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, but Al-Raab and Drainage were only available in private matches. Now, however, Al-Raab and Drainage have been mysteriously removed from the game.

Old-school CoD fans will remember Killhouse well as it made its debut in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare but has also been included in CoD Mobile and Modern Warfare Remastered.

This close-range map, inspired by CoD 4’s tutorial level, F.N.G, is set in a military training warehouse. Although the map is small, it has plenty of cover and obstacles to navigate between.

You can still jump straight into Killhouse by selecting the “Killhouse 24/7” playlist from the Modern Warfare menu.

The other 6v6 map added in this surprise update was Al-Raab Airbase, but it could only be accessed through Private Matches. This map may also be familiar as it appears to be modeled after the Russian airbase Alex and Farah assault in the campaign mission, Proxy War. This map is relatively larger than CoD’s standard 6v6, with plenty of verticality and long lanes to snipe down.

A new Gunfight map, Drainage, was also added to Modern Warfare’s Private Matches. Similar to Airbase, Drainage is large for a 2v2 map, but it will also support 3v3 and other small team game modes. A bridge goes over the map as its standout feature, and there’s a ton of debris on the ground for players to use as cover.

These two maps will be returning to Modern Warfare MP “soon” Infinity Ward says in a new tweet. The maps needed more “love” before they could become available to play.

Infinity Ward never acknowledged the maps being added or taken away, so we don’t know if these are the only changes made to Modern Warfare.

We’re also still waiting for the Soap Operator Bundle the Sykov pistol to arrive in MW and Warzone.

Just like any hugely popular multiplayer game, Warzone and Modern Warfare doesn’t come without its issues. Recently, players have been experiencing some error issues, like the “unknown function” error and the Dev Error 6034.

For those experiencing a transmission error recently for Warzone and Modern Warfare, don’t worry, as there are a few ways you can go about fixing it.

Modern Warfare & Warzone transmission error fix

Here are some of the ways you can fix the “disconnected due to transmission error:”

  1. Restart the game
  2. If that doesn’t work, change the NAT type to open on your router.
  3. Go to UPnP in router settings and enable the option.
  4. Save your settings and restart the router.

If this still doesn’t fix your issue, try deleting and redownloading the game to get rid of any possibly corrupt data.

Further, if you’re on PlayStation, try rebuilding your database, and if you’re on Xbox, turn Teredo Tunneling on in the settings.

Hopefully, this can resolve your issues with the transmission error and get back on the battlefields of the two popular Call of Duty games, as it seems that every new update brings another host of errors and issues.

Call of Duty Activision accounts are regularly subjected to theft and hacking, so our guide seeks to help you reclaim stolen CoD accounts, plus we have some other useful methods to keep your account secure and safe.

Whether it’s issues with Call of Duty’s servers, cheating, or the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone stores, there are always problems that need to be tended to. Regardless of the size and wealth of the company, it’s presumably always going to be hard to keep on top of everything.

But questions have been raised about Activision’s ability to restore stolen Call of Duty accounts and provide support to those players. Thankfully, there are various ways to try and reclaim your account, and also ways to protect it from falling into the wrong hands.

Many people complain about their Call of Duty account being hacked and/or stolen in whichever CoD title they’re playing.

Players lose access to their data, and most importantly their CoD Points and any purchased bundles or cosmetics. But there is an official process that players need to go through for Activision to be able to take the appropriate action.

To begin proceedings to retrieve your account, you’ll need to contact Activision Support here.

It could take anywhere between 4-10 days for a response on average but maybe longer. This is reasonable given the large volume of queries that Activation presumably deals with on a daily basis.

Another solution you can try to speed things up yourself is to try and contact a member of Activision’s support team directly.

To do this, you’ll need to complete the following:

  1. Head to Activision’s ‘Support’ page
  2. Selection an option from “I need help with”
  3. Find one that allows you to “Submit a ticket” or will connect you to an advisor to help you personally

Two-Step Authentication CoD Account

If you’ve been successful in retrieving your Activision Account or just want to know how to make it more secure, then it would be wise to enforce Two-Factor Authentication.

It’s now a given to see Two-Factor Authentication across the industry to protect accounts across all forms of media. It’s safe, secure, and easy to protect your account.

Here’s what you’ll need to do to activate Two-factor Authentication for your Activision Account:

  1. Head to Activision’s Two-Factor Authentication page
  2. Click ‘Set up Two-Factor Authentication’
  3. Sign in to your account, if you haven’t made one then do so
  4. Download the ‘Google Authenticator app’ for your phone or tablet
  5. Scan the QR Code using the app’s scanner
  6. Enter the Authentication Code for the App
  7. Press to complete the process

Now you have a secure setup that only you should be able to access.

It’s understandable that players will be frustrated with Activision for not responding to their queries as they want their account back.

At the same time, there are millions of accounts spread across Cold War, Warzone, CoD: Mobile, and Modern Warfare, with potentially multiple questions per player.

Modern Warfare Invisible Gun Glitch

Fans of Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare reboot have encountered some serious issues in the last few weeks, with players now frustrated about an invisible gun glitch.

Just last week, players faced various issues that caused Modern Warfare multiplayer lobbies not to work correctly and maps not loading properly when they started to play.

Now, news has broken about another bug causing players to have invisible guns, which can be very frustrating for those who really love the soft reboot of the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty is no stranger to bugs like many games, with many issues being brought up by players within the last few weeks that have caused plenty of headaches for players jumping into the 2019 entry in the high-profile franchise.

Reddit user ArsonistAlpaca addressed the issue by posting an image of two players on split-screen, both having invisible guns. The post caught some attention after various other users began to express their similar experiences in the comments.

One user said: “I’m having the same problem. If you use the default loadouts, then the guns will show up for some reason, but none of my custom loadouts will appear.”

Considering that Warzone is heavily connected to Modern Warfare, and those who want to use the MW guns in Warzone will still be unlocking attachments and weapons, issues like the Modern Warfare invisible gun glitch can be major headaches for players whenever they are playing.

Some community members have stated that they believe all the influx of updates added to Warzone in Season 3 has ultimately backfired on MW 2019, causing various issues like the recent wall hacking bug.

Hopefully, the developers can get out a fix pretty soon so that those who are still enjoying the 2019 rendition of Modern Warfare can play without the game-breaking issues like the Modern Warfare invisible gun glitch.

We will update this piece with any new information regarding the Modern Warfare invisible gun glitch when it is made available.
