Among the many side quests players can tackle in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, some are tougher than others. So, here’s how to complete the Simmerstone Springs side quest in TOTK.

In the vast world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have a lot to explore. The addition of caves, Sky Islands, and the Depths expanded the experience to a great extent. That also means players have a lot more quests and tasks to complete while progressing through the main adventure.

Some of these side quests can be trickier than others, so we’ll cover everything you need to know about the Simmerstone Springs quest in TOTK.

How to get the Simmerstone Springs side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

To start the Simmerstone Springs side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to complete the Yunobo of Goron City quest first. That quest is part of the main story, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding it when you travel through the Eldin Region.

Once you complete that quest, head to Goron City and look for an NPC in the southern lake bridge of the city. Talk to the character called Kima and he will tell you about a secret hot spring he’s trying to find. That will launch the Simmerstone Springs quest in the game.

Kima also gave players a side quest in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

How to complete the Simmerstone Springs side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Once the Simmerstone Springs quest is active in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to follow these steps to complete the mission:

  1. Head to the Goron Hot Springs located south of Goron City.
  2. Talk to Grapp, a Goron that will tell you the secret hot spring location.
  3. Head southeast of your position to find the entrance to the Gorko Tunnel. Its exact coordinates are 2004, 2038, 0424.
  4. Destroy the rocks blocking your way and head left once inside.
  5. Destroy more rocks to finally reach the Simmerstone Springs inside Gorko Tunnel.
  6. Enter the water.

Once you enter the springs, a cutscene will play showing Kima entering the Simmerstone Springs as well. He’ll thank you with 100 Rupees and will stay there, enjoying the revitalizing waters. If you want an extra reward, you can keep exploring Gorko Tunnel to get a Bubbul Gem and an Ancient Blade.

Do note that if you completed the Goron’s main storyline you’ll be able to use the Sage of Fire to open up a path in Gorko Tunnel, making things way easier. Also, you don’t really need to speak with Grapp to complete the quest, you can head straight to Gorko Tunnel after talking to Kima.

And that’s everything you need to know to complete the Simmerstone Springs quest in TOTK. For more Tears of the Kingdom content, make sure to check our other guides:
