How to find Diamonds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can find Diamonds in treasure chests throughout the map, receive them as rewards in Shrines, or purchase them from a vendor in Goron City, where they cost 1,000 rupees each. There’s also a chance to get them through mining large deposits, but it’s pretty rare.
If you want to get your first Diamond quickly, there’s a hidden one beneath Hyrule Castle in the Royal Hidden Passage cave. To reach it easily, follow these steps:
- Start at the First Gatehouse below Hyrule Castle.
- Follow the road for a short distance.
- Look over the ledge towards Hyrule and spot a balcony below.
- Glide down to reach the balcony.
- Enter the room where you’ll encounter a guard named Nobiro.
- To access the passage, use the Ultrahand tool on a floor grate.
- Drop down into the passage.
- On the platform with a ladder, you’ll find a treasure chest.
- There will be a Diamond in this chest.
You will find other Diamonds in the game by completing Shrines such as the Jochi-ihiga Shrine, Sihajog Shrine, and the Yomizuk Shrine.

The main use of Diamonds in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is for selling, as they are extremely valuable and can earn you a lot of rupees from them. However, you can also make weapons such as the Rito Great Eagle Bow and Zora Lightscale Trident, and also enhance weapons with Diamonds through fusion.
