Call of Duty: Warzone features Loadout Drops that land in on the play – almost care package style – thought the game as the match occurs.
A unique aspect of Call of Duty: Warzone is that players can set their 10 Loadouts in the menu prior to the start of the match. The menu tells you how each Perk works in Warzone vs standard multiplayer. You can create your class out fully here in the Loadout editor.
The Loadout Drops that come in to the match randomly – care package style and marked clearly on the map for everyone to see – lets you then walk to the loadout drop and select any of your 10 set loadout slots. Once you select the loadout you want, your current kit will be replaced with the loadout you selected – weapons, equipment, perks, and all.
The challenge here is that you are fully exposed accessing loadout drops and unable to shoot until you pick your class and then get the gear equipped. It’s a trade off – whether you want to get it or not go for it.
When playing at Infinity Ward, I found it strategic to use these Loadout Drops when you respawn back in. This way, you can land straight on a loadout drop (if one’s on the map), get a fully equipped kit, and jump back into the action without spending too much time finding gear and looting around the map.

NICKMERCS reveals one change to make Warzone MAC-10 class even stronger
Streamer NICKMERCS has discovered one simple change to Warzone’s MAC-10 that will make the already great SMG even better.
Streamer NICKMERCS is known for his Warzone loadout videos uploaded to YouTube, and he’s figured out how to make the already strong MAC-10 even better.
Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff found great success with Warzone when it launched in March 2020. He turned out high kills game after game, won tournaments, and perhaps became infamous for popularizing the Bruen MK9 meta which took over Verdansk in Modern Warfare Seasons 4 and 5.
The MAC-10 dominated close-range combat for the first few weeks of Warzone Season 1, with an insanely fast time-to-kill and minimal recoil. It then turned out that the Gallantry Blueprint unlocked through the premium Battle Pass was ‘pay-to-win,’ with it dealing over 30% more damage than its base version.
The MAC-10 has received a slight nerf, and the Gallantry Blueprint now functions as intended, but this BOCW SMG remains the perfect pocket weapon. NICKMERCS has found an attachment you should run to make the MAC-10 even better.
NICKMERCS’ new MAC-10 loadout
After NICKMERCS dominated with the MAC-10, his chat asked him what attachments he was using, so he decided to make a video. While this SMG is already fast, Nick wanted it faster, so he swapped out the popular 53 Round Drum for the Salvo 53 Round Fast Mag.
This magazine allows you to reload even quicker, with no negatives compared to its drum variant. It does increase the overall ADS time of the MAC-10, but the rest of Nick’s attachments compensate for that.
Here’s Nick’s full MAC-10 loadout.
- Muzzle: Muzzle Break 9
- Barrel: 5.3″ Extended
- Stock: Wire Stock
- Underbarrel: Patrol Grip
- Ammunition: Salvo 53 Rnd Fast Mag
NICKMERCS’ MAC-10 is decked out for speed, with the Wire Stock and Patrol Grip prioritizes moving fast and being the first to have your gun up in a fight.

For extra recoil control, Nick also opted for the Muzzle Break 9 instead of the Agency Suppressor, which a lot of players favor. You’ll show on the minimap when firing, but with the TTK on this SMG, that shouldn’t be a problem.

How to fix Call of Duty: Warzone Dev Error 6034
If ‘Dev Error 6034’ is preventing you from playing Warzone, follow this simple guide to drop back into Verdansk in no time.
While Warzone Season 1 has seen a plethora of game-breaking exploits and bugs, one issue is preventing PC gamers from playing the battle royale altogether. Here’s how to fix the Dev Error 6034 issue.
Black Ops Cold War x Warzone Season 1 got off to a shaky start with the overpowered DMR 14, pay-to-win MAC-10 blueprint, as well as invisibility exploits and the return of stim glitches. These problems have now been fixed, but further issues have plagued CoD fans.
Xbox players saw the return of the ‘Blackout Trial Has Ended‘ screen, which Charlie Intel has covered a fix for, but ‘Dev Error 6034’ prevents PC players from playing Warzone and Modern Warfare.
The ‘Dev Error 6034’ bug first appeared in Modern Warfare shortly after launch, and because Warzone is connected to MW, battle royale players have encountered it too. If this frustrating error is preventing you from dropping into Verdansk, here’s how to fix it.
How to fix Dev Error 6034
It’s believed that Dev Error 6034 happens when Modern Warfare files become corrupted or unreadable. It sounds scary, but the fix is really quite simple.
A clean reinstall of the game is known to fix the issue, but there’s a much quicker solution. What you have to do is locate specific files in the Modern Warfare folder, delete them, then run a Scan and Repair which will replace the files with the correct versions.
The problem with PC gaming is solving errors like this can be daunting; nobody wants to go into the guts of their game and mess with files. Don’t worry, to make this as stress-free as possible, follow our simple walkthrough below.
- Open the Modern Warfare or Warzone installation folder
- Locate and delete the following files:
- Modern Warfare Launcher.exe
After these files have been deleted, open Battle.net and run Scan and Repair on Modern Warfare/Warzone. It can be found through the ‘Options’ dropdown when the game is selected. These deleted files will now be replaced with working ones, and you can play Warzone again.
To prevent this problem from returning, make sure that Warzone downloads are uninterrupted. Leave your PC on until the download is complete, and avoid pausing and resuming the download when possible.

JGOD reveals the best gun barrels in Warzone
The latest video by COD YouTuber ‘JGOD’ revealed the best barrels to equip in Warzone to improve bullet velocity.
Call of Duty YouTuber ‘JGOD’ uploaded a video in which he studied how each barrel affects the bullet velocity of most primary Black Ops Cold War weapons in Warzone and revealed the best ones to equip.
Call of Duty: Warzone doesn’t inform you of how much each attachment that you equip will affect your weapon. Unlike Black Ops Cold War; you won’t know the exact stats and percentages, so you’ll have to test your loadout in battle.
After a bit of experimenting, CoD YouTuber JGOD has discovered the effects of certain attachments on his guns. He made a new video, in which he went over how equipping different barrels in Warzone can affect your bullet velocity.
What are the best gun barrels in Warzone?
You have a much better chance of killing your targets if your bullets travel quickly. Plus, the speed of your bullet will help you determine how much of a lead time you should put in front of a moving target.

That is why it’s worth equipping certain attachments that will improve your bullet velocity before running out into combat. JGOD tried out all his primary Black Ops Cold War weapons in Warzone for the video, with shotguns being the exception.
He tried out every barrel in the game and checked the time taken for each shot to reach its target. He then recorded the results and discovered that barrels shared by different weapons affect each one differently.
This is also true for weapons within the same class since the Calvary barrel can greatly improve the bullet velocity on LMGs while having no real effect when equipping it on Assault Rifles.
His experimentation found that the best improvement to bullet velocity comes from equipping the Ranger barrel on ARs, the Calvary barrel on LMGs, the Titanium barrel on Tac Rifles, and the Reinforced Heavy on SMGs.
That only covers some of the discoveries he made, as his video is highly informative. JGOD put in proper effort to collect this data, and you can take a look at the full breakdown of his results here.
