Warzone Season 6 and Vanguard Operators

Warzone Season 6, the final season ahead of Vanguard’s integration, is now live. Players were surprised to see that Vanguard’s STG 44 and M1 Garand are in the menus but they’re locked with no way to unlock them.

Once Warzone Season 6 wraps up, CoD’s battle royale will undergo extensive integration with Vanguard. This will bring an entirely new map, a fresh pool of Operators, and of course, WWII weapons.

Season 6 is here, and a couple of these WWII weapons are already in the game. The STG 44 and M1 Garand have appeared in the Armory, but there’s no way to unlock them yet.

Alongside Warzone’s brand-new GRAV and .410 Ironhide, players can see the STG 44 and M1 Garand in all their glory. However, these weapons just appear as ‘Locked,’ with no requirements or way to unlock them.

The STG 44 is described as “balanced to be viable in almost any situation, but does not excel in any one area.” And the M1 Garand, which already has players worried about another DMR meta, is described as “adaptable, accurate, and powerful,” and can “put enemies down with two well placed shots at mid or long range.”

Vanguard weapons with 10 attachments in Warzone

Players discovered that these Vanguard weapons had ten attachment slots, which appears to confirm that Vanguard’s ten attachment Gunsmith is coming to Warzone. This was discovered after players found out that you could access the Vanguard weapons in Private Matches, and even customize them.

But, likely because players were able to access these weapons early, Warzone’s Private Match feature has been disabled in Season 6.

Many are concerned that having ten attachments on Vanguard guns will throw off Warzone weapon balance, where Modern Warfare and Cold War guns only have access to five.

The STG 44 and M1 Garand are likely just a tease for Vanguard’s integration, which is expected to happen when Season 6 ends. However, some players are hoping that these weapons will be unlocked later in the season.
