Best Superstar builds in Madden 25
EA SportsIf you want to create a dominant player in Madden 25‘s Superstar mode, you’ll need to use the best builds for each position.
You’ll use different attributes and skill sets depending on the position you pick. That’s not all, as your height, weight, and player model all factor into creating a dominant player. To get your successful NFL career on the right path, here are the best Superstar builds to use.
Best Quarterback build
- Body Type: Slim
- Height: 6’9”
- Weight: 190 lbs
- Archetype: Custom
- Customize Skills
- Throw Power: 3 Points
- Deep Throw Accuracy: 3 Points
- Throw On The Run: 3 Points
- Throw Under Pressure: 3 Points
- Speed: 2 Points
- Acceleration: 1 Point
- Potential Gold Abilities: Arm Talent, Deep Deadeye, Mobile Deadeye, Pressure Cooker
- X-Factor: Bazooka – Max throwing distance increased
We suggest balancing speed and arm strength when creating a QB build in the Superstar mode. This skill set combines the best attributes of Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. As you develop you’ll gain the ability to accurately hit targets downfield, while also being able to earn yards on the run when under pressure.
Thanks to the Mobile Deadeye Ability that grants perfect accuracy on the run and cross body, there’s no need to waste skill points on your Short Throw Accuracy. Once that Ability develops, you’ll be able to throw accurately in all situations.
Best Wide Receiver build in Madden 25
- Body Type: Slim
- Height: 6’4”
- Weight: 190 lbs
- Archetype: Custom
- Customize Skills
- Catching: 3 Points
- Spectacular Catch: 3 Points
- Catch In Traffic: 3 Points
- Speed: 2 Points
- Change of Direction: 2 Points
- Acceleration: 2 Points
- Potential Gold Abilities: Sticky Fingers, Showboat, Iron Grip
- X-Factor: Double Me – Wins aggressive catches vs single coverage
For starters, the Showboat Ability is one of the game’s meta options as it will improve your receiver’s run after catch and redzone catch. We’ve focused on boosting Catching and Speed stats for this build as the two defining qualities of an elite receiver.
If you have the extra points to spend after importing your CFB player, we recommend using them on Spin Move as it’s an excellent option to get by defenders this year.
Best Halfback Superstar build
- Body Type: Slim
- Height: 6’4”
- Weight: 190 lbs
- Archetype: Custom
- Customize Skills
- Spin Move: 3 Points
- Break Tackle: 3 Points
- Speed: 3 Points
- Catch In Traffic: 2 Points
- Change of Direction: 2 Points
- Acceleration: 2 Points
- Potential Gold Abilities: Spin Elite, Shake It Off
- X-Factor: Freight Train – Increase the chance of breaking the next tackle attempt
As mentioned in the Wide Receiver build, the Spin Move stat is a great tool on offense this year and the best Halfback build is in prime position to put it to use. A dominant Halfback is all about breaking tackles, so maximizing your Speed and Break Tackle stats are vitally important.
Later down the line, the Freight Train X-Factor will turn you into an absolute truck on the gridiron, shrugging off one tackle after the next.
Best Cornerback build
- Body Type: Slim
- Height: 6’4”
- Weight: 190 lbs
- Archetype: Custom
- Customize Skills
- Catching: 3 Points
- Man Coverage: 3 Points
- Speed: 3 Points
- Tackle: 3 Points
- Press: 2 Points
- Acceleration: 1 Point
- Potential Gold Abilities: Honorary Receiver, Man KO Elite, Tackle Elite
- X-Factor: Shut Down – Tighter coverage and more INTs on contested catches
Moving on to defense, the best Cornerback build is primed to change the momentum of games with expert coverage. This position’s skillset must be versatile as you’ll be expected to tackle, catch, and cover opposing offensive threats.
Once your Speed, Catching, and Tackle stats hit their max potential, you’ll make the lives of Wide Receivers a living nightmare.
Best Madden 25 Linebacker build
- Body Type: Slim
- Height: 6’9”
- Weight: 190 lbs
- Archetype: Custom
- Customize Skills
- Man Coverage: 3 Points
- Tackle: 3 Points
- Hit Power: 3 Points
- Strength: 3 Points
- Speed: 2 Points
- Catching: 1 Point
- Potential Gold Abilities: Tackle Elite, Man KO Elite, Destroyer
- X-Factor: Unstoppable Force – Pass rush wins lead to quicker block shedding
As evidenced by the best X-Factor for Linebackers, this build is all about turning your player into an unstoppable force. With the 15 skill points available we focused on strength by boosting the Hit Power, Tackle, and Strength stats.
However, if you have 20 Points available, don’t hesitate to invest in Speed as well. This will allow you to take your opponents by surprise by being lighter on your feet than they’re expecting.
Superstar builds explained
We compiled the best builds for each position, to let you know how to spend your skill points. When creating a new Superstar player, you’ll have to pick their position and physical characteristics and spend 15 skill points to boost your stats.
If you transfer your Road to Glory player from College Football 25 to Madden, you’ll have 20 skill points to invest instead of 15. While the extra five points will give your Superstar a headstart, our builds suggest how to spend 15 skill points.
You won’t have access to Gold Abilities or an X-Factor straight away, but we’ve listed the ones you should invest your points in to achieve a meta build as you progress.
To maximize the success of your Superstar, make sure to familiarize yourself with the best offensive playbooks and best defensive playbooks in the game.
