All you need to do is use the Right Stick to select one of the options to perform the desired celebration. Keep in mind that the choices will vary depending on the type of play and the athlete. Celebrations vary from solo dances to ones that get your teammates involved.

Keep an eye out for an option called “signature” that will appear when the featured athlete has a signature celebration to dish out.

Touchdowns aren’t the only opportunity to celebrate. You’ll notice the option appear after a variety of big plays, including a particularly important defensive play or after securing a clutch first down.

While celebrations occur after a play is complete, you can also use taunts to celebrate before the play is whistled dead. Think of them as a real-time alternative to celebrations.

Hold down L2+R2 and X on PlayStation or LT+RT and A on Xbox to taunt your opponent before reaching the endzone. PC players will want to press and hold L Shift, L Ctrl, and Space to taunt.

You’ll get the option to taunt your opponent as the ball carrier, and we recommend doing so as you near the endzone. This will perform a variety of moves that you’ve likely seen in the NFL over the years. Taunting is also known as showboating in the Madden community.

When you can taste a touchdown, try making the moment sweeter by hitting the taunt input.
