Modern Warfare 2 leakers reveal first look at Neymar & Paul Pogba in-game skins
A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leak, revealing Neymar and Pogba skins, appears to show off what the players will look like when the rumored World Cup crossover drops.
From Attack on Titan to Terminator to John McClane and Rambo, the CoD franchise is no stranger when it comes to bizarre mash-ups.
Although there is always a section of fans who are decidedly lukewarm to such crossovers, the visual of seeing these larger-than-life TV and movie stars in Call of Duty is a sight to behold.
The latest, and possibly craziest, one was recently rumored as being a host of the world’s top soccer stars including Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Paul Pogba arriving as part of a World Cup promotional tie-in.
Thanks to a new leak, we now have a better idea of what they will look when they arrive in Modern Warfare 2.
The leak comes from CoD dataminers CodSploitzImgz whose original Tweet showcasing the skins has been DMCA’d – prompting suggestions that the leak could be true.
The images are not lost though as they have been uploaded to Imgur and show what Neymar and Pogba will look like in the game.
Even though this is primarily intended to be a World Cup crossover, neither of the top soccer superstars will be sporting their national colors: France for Pogba and Brazil for Neymar.
Both of the soccer superstars are dressed head-to-toe in military gear with bulletproof vests amongst a host of other valuable combat implements and devices. We would also expect to be able to use these Operators in Warzone 2 like with any other skins.
The facial models look identical to their real-life counterparts and it would be safe to assume that these leaks are more than likely – or are very convincing fakes.
As with anything to do with leaks, we’ll have to wait and see if these are real, and with the World Cup due to kick off on November 20, 2022, players won’t have to wait long.
