Modern Warfare 2 ‘Loss Stat Prevented’ still not working despite update claiming to have fixed it
The recent Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded update was supposed to fix a wide range of problems including a ‘Loss Stat prevented’ glitch, however, this has not proven to be the case.
A bunch of buffs and nerfs have been issued by Raven for Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded, and various changes have been made, even though players didn’t want them at all.
Not only that, but the patch notes for the new update point out several key fixes that were implemented to help players with regard to stats tracking. As a MW2 player pointed out recently, the Loss Stats Prevented failsafe has not been working as advertised.
When you join a CoD game that has already started in Modern Warfare 2, if you lose, the game informs the player that you will not be awarded a loss because you “joined in progress.”
But we discovered recently that this hasn’t been the case as MW2 Reddit user XXXT-Rex recorded footage of themself observing their loss stat, dropping into a game that had already started, losing it, and their loss counter going up by 1.
The official patch notes for Season 1 Reloaded quite clearly state: “Players who join a game in progress will no longer get a loss if their team loses the match,” implying this shouldn’t be an issue anymore.
According to the same Reddit user though, this isn’t the case. Their newest video is a fresh example of what happens if you join a game in progress, and the evidence suggests that not much has changed.
Again, they had 593 losses at the start of the video, popped into a game in progress, lost it, and following the match, their loss counter had risen to 594.
The video was clearly filmed after the update had dropped as they showed the brand new patch notes at the end of the video, meaning the fix hasn’t worked.
There have definitely been some complications since Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2’s new content dropped, with WZ2 players frustrated with DMZ AI, and MW2 players haven’t to content with camo challenges not tracking.
