First images of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer maps have leaked from being included in the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Closed Alpha build, which released in select testing regions under NDA in May.

Warzone Mobile, also known as Project Aurora, is in closed alpha testing, but as users get hands-on with builds on iOS and Android, they’ve found a batch of Modern Warfare 2, and even Treyarch’s Call of Duty 2024, content in the files.

The Warzone Mobile Closed Alpha is under signed NDA, with no gameplay or imagery allowed to be shared from it. Despite this, images from the game have still appeared.

The leaker on Twitter claims to have access to many of the loading screens for Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps, posting a few 6v6 map images, along with some Ground War map images.

Leaked Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps

In total, the loading screens of four Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps were released. All four of these maps look completely different from the other, which could indicate that we’re in for lots of variety when MW2 releases later this year.

The first map shown is called Grand Prix, which was confirmed to be a map in June as part of the game’s reveal.

Set in Asia, the loading screen shows two Formula 1-style cars racing on a track, although we don’t know if these high-speed machines will be driving around the racetrack while we do battle.

The second map revealed is Oilfield. Fairly self-explanatory, it appears we are heading towards an oil storage facility, with giant vats presumably full of the black liquid sitting around.

The ground here looks dry and sandy, indicating that this is happening in a hot location, perhaps in the Middle East or in South America.

It doesn’t take much sleuthing to figure out where Museum is set. This colorful map appears to have indoor and outdoor combat.

The fourth map was only mentioned by its code name, SABA. Information on this map beyond its images is not known at this time, nor is its final release name confirmed.

We do see a statue of a man on a horse and some palm trees, but other than that, little is known about this area.

Leaked Modern Warfare 2 Ground War maps Images

The leaker has also shared images of 2 Modern Warfare 2 Ground War MP Maps.

The first Ground War map leaked is Hydro, which takes place in a desert landscape with water flowing through the center. As confirmed by Infinity Ward, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 engine supports swimming, which means maps will feature areas of water.
