Modern Warfare 2 players delighted as Season 2 will not feature Castle map
Modern Warfare 2 players are ecstatic as the Season 2 update will not bring the classic Castle map to multiplayer, in hopes that they will finally receive something new.
With Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 on the horizon, fans of the game’s multiplayer mode are hopeful the update will provide some much-needed content after Season 1 Reloaded failed to impress.
Unfortunately, players have already been left disappointed with the amount of Warzone 2 changes and content that has been announced compared to Modern Warfare 2, feeling as if it’s a sign that multiplayer won’t be receiving much content.
However, there is one announcement that has surprisingly left players delighted, as it turns out that Castle from Call of Duty: World at War will not receive a Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer remake. Instead, Castle will appear in Warzone 2’s new Resurgence map, Ashika Island.
Usually, a lack of content would upset players, but the announcement that Castle will not be coming to Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer has actually pleased players. This is mainly because players received two map remakes in Season 1, and are now looking for something new.
Under the comments of CharlieIntel‘s announcement about Castle not being in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, players shared their delight, with comments that said “LETS GOOOO,” and “W.”
Clearly, players believe this is a win for the game, but only if the update provides “some better maps.”
There’s still no information regarding new maps coming to Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, but we can now confirm that Castle will not be one of them. Be sure to stay tuned to CharlieIntel if you’re interested in the new multiplayer maps coming in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2.
