Modern Warfare 2 players discover unlimited Tactical Sprint exploit on day one
A Modern Warfare 2 exploit is giving players unlimited Tactical Sprint after players discovered the buff in movement from the get-go.
Modern Warfare 2 has finally arrived, giving players the opportunity to discover the new maps, modes, and weapons in the game. Despite Infinity Ward suggesting not to do so, many players changed their console region settings to access Modern Warfare 2 earlier than anticipated.
Players have already started the grind through the ranks and have been enjoying multiplayer matches. With so many new features to explore, day one has a ton of surprises to uncover. One of these unexpected surprises seems to be a movement exploit that allows for unlimited Tactical Sprint.
Movement has been a controversial topic leading up to Modern Warfare 2, with fans split over the slide cancel maneuver. Tactical Sprint is another hot topic of discussion as it allows players to zoom across the map at a blistering pace.
Players quickly discovered that performing a melee movement extends the Tactical Sprint duration.
If the melee comes in at the end of the Tactical Sprint, players will immediately be able to Tactical Sprint again. Usually, a cool down comes into play, which blocks players from constantly spamming Tactical Sprint.
As users in the comments of the Reddit post put it: “This is definitely an exploit that will get patched.”
There’s no doubt that the devs will look to patch this exploit. However, it remains to be seen how quickly they will address it, given the multitude of issues that may arise as players flock to the game.
Players took the opportunity to claim that “Tac Sprinting was one of the worst things to ever happen to cod.” Even without the exploit in the picture, it seems some players view the Tactical Sprint as an unwanted feature.
