Modern Warfare 2 players roast “cringy” Season 1 Zeus Operator

Zeus, an incoming Operator in Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, hasn’t gone well down with players as they think their design is “absolutely stupid.”

The time has nearly arrived for Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 to really set the wheels in motion with the addition of a Combat Record, new maps, and new weapons to shake up the meta.

As well as mid-season Raids, Season 1 is also delivering the first Battle Pass of the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 era. While it certainly has some cool items to procure, Modern Warfare 2 players have expressed their exasperation over the new Zeus Operator.

The new Battle Pass system now splits all the items up into Sectors, meaning players have a lot of freedom to pick the items they either want altogether or simply want to get first.

This system might be beneficial to those who know what they want first, but purchasing the Battle Pass will guarantee you unlock Zeus, and not all players are happy about this.

“Loving the new Star Wars collab!” one Modern Warfare 2 player sarcastically said in a Reddit post as they posted a side-by-side comparison of the new Zeus Operator and Star Wars character Nien Nunb.

One MW2 player thinks Infinity Ward has an obsession with masks: “Idk why IW has a fascination with these stupid masks. First Roze in MW 2019, now Fender and Zeus. They look absolutely stupid. Also if I remember correctly, ballistic face armor does nothing to stop rifle caliber or higher rounds. Only worth considering for .44 caliber and smaller.”

A follow-up comment also alluded to the impracticality of the mask: “Not to mention drastically lowering your situational awareness and restricting your ability to breathe. Two things you sort of might need in a combat environment.”

Finally, one player bluntly declared: “Not gonna lie, I’ve had enough with these cringy Operator masks. Can’t we have something…more aesthetic looking? Screw this lol.”

Zeus certainly doesn’t seem to be everyone’s cup of tea, but he will be one of several Operators releasing in the next couple of weeks with eyes surely shifting towards the arrival of Messi, Neymar Jr., and Pogba with the Modern Warfare FC event.

They will be available in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, and there is also a free Combat Pack for players to claim too.
