Modern Warfare 2 players want a simple nerf to fix Flash Grenades
Flash Grenades in Modern Warfare 2 have been criticized by players for causing problems during their gameplay, and now one player has suggested a simple change that could solve this problem.
Modern Warfare 2 features plenty of useful Perks and Equipment that give you an edge in battles, and the Flash Grenade is a piece of Tactical Equipment that temporarily blinds your opponents.
While the Flash Grenade can be useful in getting you out of a tough situation, it’s been criticized by the community for its debilitating effects. Now, players are calling for a major change to how it functions.
When Flash Grenades go off, they turn your screen a bright white, and this can be visually distracting, so players have previously asked the Modern Warfare 2 developers to add a Dark Mode like in Battlefield 2042.
Since that feature hasn’t been implemented, Reddit user ‘hagen-slays’ has suggested another way to fix this problem. They wrote: “If the Flash Grenade is thrown behind me, and my character model isn’t looking at it, it should not flash me.”
If this change is implemented, Modern Warfare 2 players will be able to evade the effects of the Flash Grenade by turning away in time. In the thread, a few other players voice their approval of this suggestion.
One player commented: “Yeah, it really doesn’t make any sense. Flashes are beyond OP and this would be a perfect way to balance them.” Other players were concerned that this could make things too easy.
Another user wrote: “It would be quite easy to nullify them by quickly turning around. But, I would argue that your own Flash Grenades you should be able to turn away from.”
This isn’t the first time that players have asked the devs to nerf Flash Grenades in Modern Warfare 2. It remains to be seen if the developers decide to implement this or another change in response to these complaints.
