Call of Duty have brought some mind-bending crossovers over the past couple of years with the likes of Snoop Dogg and The Terminator, but a new leak claims that some real-life soccer players arrive in Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare 2 finally arrives on October 28, and following Cold War and Vanguard’s massive collaborations with The Terminator, Godzilla vs Kong, and Snoop Dogg, players have already started theorizing on what Infinity Ward will bring.

Well-known Call of Duty leaker TheGhostofHope claims to have revealed the unannounced Operators that will be coming to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Players were quick to spot that the controversial Roze skin may make a return, but there were also some very famous names in the leak.

Messi, Neymar, and Poga were all included in Hope‘s leak, and these names are instantly recognizable as some of the world’s most famous soccer players. If this leak is true, we may see Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr, and Paul Pogba hit Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 as playable Operators.

It’s entirely possible, if not downright likely, that these soccer player skins would arrive in time for Qatar’s World Cup 2022 which kicks off on November 20. Warzone 2 and DMZ will only have been out for a few days, so the proverbial iron will be hot.

Call of Duty have added some unofficial sports-themed skins over the years, with the Hat Trick bundle hitting Cold War and an American football skin arriving for the 4th of July. But, unlike Fortnite, Call of Duty has never had an official crossover with sports stars or teams.

With Fortnite paving the way for incredible crossovers, don’t be too surprised to see these soccer stars dominating Al Mazrah or fighting through the new Destiny-style Raids. But, as always, this is just an unconfirmed leaked for now so take it with a grain of salt.
