Modern Warfare 2 trends as content creators share their top 10 Call of Duty games
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been trending recently as content creators, and those in the gaming community share their top ten CoD games.
Call of Duty has been one of the most influential and popular games of the last two decades, spawning a huge community of FPS lovers.
While players anticipate the release of the upcoming installment, Vanguard, it seems about that time of the year where CoD players reminisce on their favorite games from Activision’s franchise.
With Warzone continuing to bring Call of Duty great success within the battle royale scene, while Black Ops Cold War provided players with a classic Treyarch experience, Call of Duty remains one of the most popular FPS games in modern gaming.
Despite Apex Legends’ newfound popularity, which is pretty ironic considering some of Respawn Entertainment’s team worked on MW2, the gaming community continues to reminisce on the previous Call of Duty games.
Generally, Modern Warfare 2 is considered one of, if not the best Call of Duty game of all time, not only because of its great multiplayer experience but also the thrilling campaign that griped a lot of players.
With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the community’s top ten Call of Duty games to date.
Community’s top ten Call of Dutys
The official Call of Duty Twitter page sparked the debate: “We don’t want to choose, so we’ll leave that to you. What are your top 10 Call of Duty games of all time?”
With that tweet, the Call of Duty community responded, with popular Twitch streamer FaZe Swagg stating his top ten:
FaZe Swagg is renowned for streaming Warzone and being extremely good at the game, hence its position in his top ten Call of Duty games.

Although MW2 is fairly low on FaZe Swagg’s top ten, for most other players, like CLG Marksman and FaZe Jev, MW2 features highly in their top tens, as well as the first two installments of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Call of Duty’s request to see the fan’s top ten Call of Duty games also opened the flood gates for players to express their love for the cult classic, MW2, which is undoubtedly a fan favorite.
Although players were gifted with a remastered version of the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign, players are, of course, still awaiting a remaster of the Multiplayer, which is the mode most people reminisce on when discussing the game.
Of course, we did get a remaster of the original Modern Warfare alongside the release of Infinite Warfare, which players loved. However, there have been no official plans to continue this trend.
Modern Warfare 2 will forever be one of the most nostalgic and best Call of Duty games of all time, as it no doubt redefined what a great FPS game should look and feel like.
