Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 devs respond to PC crashing issues
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players have had to put up with crashes when playing on PC, and this caught the attention of the developers who have now responded to the major issue.
While the Call of Duty community has been enjoying Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, there have been a few issues that have been making it difficult for players to get into both titles.
Performance issues as well as frequent crashes on PC have been plaguing players since Season 1 launched on November 16, and now the Call of Duty developers have finally addressed these problems.
PC players often find that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 shut down unexpectedly during the middle of a match. This is extremely frustrating as it causes them to lose progress and they have to restart the game.
On December 1, the devs tweeted that this issue is mainly affecting players using NVIDIA graphics cards. They then reassured the Call of Duty community that they are “working closely with NVIDIA to identify and fix the issue.”
The developers didn’t give any more information beyond this, so we currently don’t know when exactly the fix will roll out in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. As soon as they announce the timeframe, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Until then, players will need to patiently wait. That said, it will come as a relief to PC users that this irritating issue hasn’t escaped the notice of the developers and that a fix is on its way in the near future.
The first couple of weeks of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1 have been rough for players, as aside from the game crashes, there have also been complaints about stuttering, and low FPS. Hopefully, the game will run smoother after the next update patch.
