Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players have been hit by PC crashes which have been greatly impacting their gameplay, but developers Beenox have now given instructions on how to remedy this.

Upon release, it’s always possible that games will be subjected to various crashes and glitches that will inevitably be ironed out, and Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players know that feeling well.

Aside from crashing issues affecting the in-game party system, as well as the new weapon tuning feature, there have also been widespread crashes affecting gamers – more so those on PC.

These crashing issues have been so bad that they even caused legendary Call of Duty player, now streamer, Nadeshot to call out the devs and tell them to: “fix your s**t!”

Now, after informing players that these mishaps were being looked into, the devs have now found some reasoning for the crashes.

Even though PlayStation and Xbox players have also been on the receiving end of technical issues with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, it’s PC that has been hit the hardest, and it could be to do with driver being used.

Here’s what Beenox, the devs for the PC version of the games, had to say: “A considerable amount of the MW2 and WZ2 crash reports we’re seeing on PC, are running older drivers. Please make sure you’re running the recommended GPU drivers (or newer), as this drastically improves the stability of the game. NVIDIA: 526.86 AMD: 22.9.1.”

While this may not be a complete fix for all the issues bothering Call of Duty players on PC, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 fans potentially may have to upgrade their driver to alleviate a lot of the issues.

Expect more fixes and updates to come from Beenox as we progress through CoD’s lifecycle with Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

Outside of CoD fixes, it’s been announced that Microsoft want to bring Call of Duty to the Nintendo Switch for the next 10 years, and Dr Disrespect believes that an obvious issue is hurting Warzone 2, citing it as “done.”
