Modern Warfare 2 weapon camo challenges leaked: Assault Rifles, SMGs, more
With Modern Warfare 2’s beta now over, dataminers claim to have discovered all of the weapon camo challenges players will be grinding throughout the year. Here’s every leaked Modern Warfare 2 camo challenge for Assault Rifles, SMGs, and more.
Every year, Call of Duty players undertake the monumental camo challenge task to unlock Gold camo for every weapon in the game, thus unlocking a Mastery Camo such as Damascus, Dark Matter, or Atomic.
Modern Warfare 2 makes the weapon leveling grind much easier with attachments being shared across different weapons but of course, there will still be a Mastery Camo to unlock. Infinity Ward claimed that there will be “reasonable challenges to unlock attachments and camouflage,” but haven’t elaborated further.
With Modern Warfare 2’s now-concluded beta coming to PC, dataminers claim to have poured through the files and discovered all of the weapon camo challenges players can expect to see. However, there’s no word on the specific camos that players will be unlocking.
Not all of these leaked camo challenges provide enough detail to know exactly what the challenge will be, and they’re reportedly in no particular order. With many of the challenges being similar to Modern Warfare 2019, some wondered if they’re just placeholders but the dataminer claims that’s not the case.
Here’s every leaked camo challenge for each weapon class, but bear in mind that these are just leaks through the game files for now so there’s no guarantee they’ll be accurate at launch.

We’ll know much more about Modern Warfare 2’s camo challenges once the full build arrives on October 28, but players won’t have long if they’re looking to have the Mastery Camo before Warzone 2 as it arrives only three weeks later on November 16.
