Modern Warfare 2’s Roze ditches her black outfit but there’s a catch
The divisive Roze Operator returns in Modern Warfare 2 and players were glad to hear she’s ditched her completely black outfit. However, there’s another Operator that might be just as problematic.
Modern Warfare Season 5’s Roze Operator was the bane of many Warzone players as the completely black Rook outfit concealed players in Verdansk’s black corners. It’s since become known as the ‘sweaty’ skin, undergoing several nerfs to remove the skin’s competitive advantage.
It was leaked that Roze would return in Modern Warfare 2 alongside some real-life soccer players, and players were immediately worried it’d bring a repeat of Modern Warfare and Warzone. While the devs assured players she’s ditched her black suit, there’s another Operator that might bring the same problems.
An Activision blog ahead of Modern Warfare 2’s campaign early access gave some background to Roze. It confirmed that the Shadow Company Operative has “ripped up her contract within the tumultuous company and her dark suits in early 2022 to align with SpecGru.”
However, players were quick to spot another Shadow Company Operator wearing a completely black outfit in the promotional images for Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, and they weren’t happy.
After YouTuber Geekypastimes was delighted to see that Roze had ripped up her dark suits, he was quickly shown the completely black Shadow Company skin.
“What are they thinking,” he replied. “Why make a point of getting rid of the most frustratingly unbalanced skin, then show another near identical one in the same post. Maybe it’ll catch the light more or something in game.”
this is not bad at all I think you forgot Roze is a slim woman compared to this guy

But, YouTuber HunterTV explained that “this is not bad at all” because “Roze is a slim woman compared to this guy.” Another user chimed in that Roze being slim was her “biggest power.”
We’ll need to wait and see how this all-black skin will play out in Modern Warfare and Warzone 2.0. But, he might be especially powerful if the nighttime Grand Prix map returns.
