Modern Warfare is unplayable again as update breaks game for third time

For the third time since the launch of Warzone Pacific, Modern Warfare is completely broken following a recent update.

CoD players who still enjoy the 2019 Modern Warfare title are growing increasingly frustrated as it seems each new update breaks the game. Modern Warfare was originally rendered unplayable by the initial Warzone Pacific update.

After the devs fixed the first issue, a new game-breaking update had the same result on February 17. Finally, a third game-breaking update completes the trilogy as players are currently struggling to access the game.

Modern Warfare is viewed as a cult classic and some players have stuck with the game following the release of Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. Given that the next CoD title is expected to be a Modern Warfare sequel, players are not ready to say goodbye anytime soon.

Unfortunately, there appears to be a number of issues plaguing Modern Warfare at the moment as some players are met with game crashes and freezes while others can’t even access the game.

It seems like a number of bugs from crashing to freezing are taking their toll on all players regardless of their platform of choice. The Modern Warfare subreddit is full of posts discussing various issues like the one above.

One comment believes that the devs could benefit from generating Modern Warfare II hype by keeping Modern Warfare in a playable state, “If you want to get people hyped for MWII, then the LEAST you can do is keep the previous installment running smoothly before your next major release.”

At this point, it’s far from a guarantee that a new update from the devs would fix the game without simultaneously introducing new ones. Nonetheless, fans of Modern Warfare will be hoping for some permanent fixes prior to the release of Modern Warfare II.
