Over the years, voice actors have played some of the most important roles in the Mortal Kombat games, as many character voice lines are famous for living rent-free in the minds of their fans. From Scorpion’s iconic “Get over here” to the personality of Johnny Cage, every voice actor has played an integral part in Mortal Kombat 1.

As players hack and slash at their opponents and AI characters, many wonder who the voice behind a character might be. So, here’s the list of every voice actor who appears in Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1 main voice actors

Johnny Cage: Andrew Bowen/Jean-Claude Van Damme

The Mortal Kombat franchise has finally achieved a lifelong dream of NetherRealm: convincing Jean-Claude Van Damme to voice Johnny Cage (the character inspired by him). Van Damme is an optional skin for the iconic character in Mortal Kombat 1.

Scorpion: Ron Yuan

Ron Yuan returns after his contribution as the legendary Scorpion and voices the iconic Lin Kuei from Mortal Kombat 1 right after his participation in Diablo 4 and the Yakuza franchise.

Sub-Zero: Kaiji Tang

Kaiji Tang is responsible for voicing Sub-Zero, right after working in Diablo 4 and voicing characters from Octopath Traveller II and Lost Ark.

Smoke: Yuri Lowenthal

The voice actor of the Prince in Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia, Yuri Lowenthal, appears in Mortal Kombat 1 as Smoke, one of the enigmatic warriors of the Lin Kuei ninja clan.

Nitara: Megan Fox

NetherRealm decided to bring back Nitara, the vampire warrior from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, and called no other than the actress Megan Fox to voice her.

Kenshi: Vic Chao

Fans were excited to greet Vic Chao as Kenshi in Mortal Kombat 1, who confirmed his presence in Mortal Kombat 1 in July.

Liu Kang: Matthew Yang King

After giving life to Kung Lao in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms, Matthew Yang King plays Liu Kang, one of the main characters in Mortal Kombat 1.

Kitana & Mileena: Kari Wahlgren

Mortal Kombat 1 welcomes back Kari Wahlgren, who voices Kitana. The actress also gives her voice to Mileena, who is the clone of the Edenian princess Kitana.
