NetherRealm StudiosMortal Kombat 1 is getting close to its release date, and players are eagerly awaiting its full roster. Hollywood star Megan Fox is now part of the cast, so here’s everything you need to know about her character in the fighting game.
Mortal Kombat 1‘s official announcement opened the door to tons of leaks, rumors, and fan theories about which characters and celebrities would be part of its roster. With crossovers confirmed and more collaborations rumored, some theories had more credibility than others. What’s more, names like Travis Scott and Megan Fox were also in the mix, with fans doubting their involvement in the fighting game.
Now, NetherRealm Studios finally confirmed Megan Fox is part of the cast of Mortal Kombat 1. She’ll portray one of the most requested returns in the game, so here’s everything you need to know about it.
Who does Megan Fox play in Mortal Kombat 1?
Megan Fox will portray Nitara, one of the most requested characters for Mortal Kombat 1. It seems NetherRealm made their fan’s wish come true with the help of the Hollywood actress. The character was last seen on Mortal Kombat 11 but was last playable in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon in 2006.
Nitara is a vampire that, similar to Shang-Tsung, needs to consume the blood of her enemies to stay alive. She’s on a quest to separate her Realm from Outworld and is not considered bad despite her blood-thirsty ways. Nitara is usually focused on her and her people’s survival and is ready to do whatever it takes to stay alive.
NetherRealm Studios released an official gameplay trailer for Nitara. They confirmed Megan Fox is not only voicing the character but also providing her likeness for Nitara’s return.
Many speculated Mega Fox could join Mortal Kombat 1’s roster with her character from the cult movie Jennifer’s Body. While that has been completely debunked, Nitara is close enough. What’s more, her official trailer shows Kung Lao saying “What did you do with Jen’s body?” which seems to be a clear reference to the film.
Longtime Mortal Kombat fans are thrilled with Nitara’s return. The winged character has some pretty interesting signature moves and Fatalities players are eager to try out. It’s true that not everyone is happy with how the complete roster is looking. However, most players believe the revamped gameplay is more than enough to enjoy the new generation of the bloody tournament.
