Mortal Kombat 1 is a soft reboot of the iconic franchise and came out four years after the last entry in the series. Even so, it has stuck with many of the features that fans know and love, meaning its roster of classic fighters and many memorable fatalities is right there in the game for players to use.
This has led many players to wonder if Mortal Kombat 1 allows them to fight against players on other platforms and share progress between consoles. So, here’s everything we know about crossplay and cross-progression in Mortal Kombat 1.
Does Mortal Kombat 1 have crossplay?
Mortal Kombat 1 doesn’t have crossplay yet, but NetherRealm have confirmed the feature will be included in the next patch, which is expected to arrive on February 29. This feature will be available only on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games).
On the other hand, Nintendo Switch players didn’t have access to crossplay last time around, and they won’t be receiving it in Mortal Kombat 1 either.
Does Mortal Kombat 1 have cross-progression?
Yes, Mortal Kombat 1 does have cross-progression. This means that players will be able to carry over their progress from one platform to another seamlessly.
To enable cross-progression in Mortal Kombat 1, link your game accounts on Warner Bros Games. Here’s how to do it:
- Head to Warner Bros Games and log in to your account or register one if you haven’t already.
- Then go to your profile and look for the tab where you can link your other accounts such as Steam, Microsoft, and PlayStation.
- Once done, you can switch between platforms and pick up where you left off.
