The MP5 from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had been one of the strongest weapons in Warzone during the game’s early days, and the MW MP5 Warzone loadout has recently seen somewhat of a comeback in Season 3 of the Black Cold War cycle in the battle royale title.

There was a considerable period in Warzone where the MW MP5 was a mainstay in the loadouts of most players trying to achieve victory on Verdansk. However, the SMG saw a decline in use following the integration of Black Ops Cold War in Warzone, where weapons like the Mac-10, FFAR, and the Fara 83 have taken the place of the MW MP5 as the main secondary for players.

This is why some players have a pleasant surprise to see that the MW MP5 Warzone loadout has begun to see a resurgence in Warzone Season 3 over the past couple of weeks.

Two of the biggest instances the community has seen when it comes to the MW MP5 Warzone loadout making a comeback were recent performances by FaZe Clan member Booya and popular content creator Cloakzy.

Booya’s performance was a sight to behold, as the FaZe Clan member was able to secure a total of 34 kills playing solo against enemy squads with the CR-56 AMAX and the MW MP5.

Booya showed that the Modern Warfare MP5 can still mow down enemies without any trouble, even though it has been out of the spotlight for some time.

Booya stated that the CR-56 AMAX and MW MP5 is his current Warzone tournament loadout, which is high praise for the MW MP5, considering players only use the best weapons possible when competing.

Cloakzy was able to take the Modern Warfare SMG into a match and collect a total of 20 kills using it as his secondary weapon for close-range battles and showed that it is still a powerful weapon when built for aggressive play.

Both players took advantage of the hip-firing bonuses that the Merc Foregrip and 5mW laser, as these two attachments, allow for incredibly accurate hip-firing that takes away the need to aim down the gun’s sights and waste valuable seconds in a gunfight.

It remains to be seen if the MW MP5 Warzone loadout will make a drastic comeback among the vast majority of the community from now on.

However, as Booya and Cloakzy recently demonstrated, it is still a very viable weapon to use for close-range fights.
