MW3 INTEL: The Spetsnaz PP-90M1

The PP-90M1 submachine gun is the latest development of the Tula-based famous KBP design bureau. It is a completely new development, despite its designation, that could misleadingly suggest that it is a derivative of the PP-90 and PP-90M folding clandestine machine guns. PP-90M1 could be described as a more modern rival to the “Bizon” PP-19 submachine gun,made in Izhevsk. It is intended to provide compact and lightweight police weapon that could lay serious amount of fire, thanks to its large-capacity helical magazine (similar in basic concept and design to “Bizon”and Calico submachine guns magazines). The most interesting part about PP-90M1 is, however, that it also could be fitted with adapter and then use typical box magazines, which are lighter, have slimmer profile and 1/2 capacity of standard helical magazine. It is not yet known if PP-90M1 is in use with any major law enforcement or security force in Russia.

PP-90M1 is a conventional blowback operated, selective fired machine gun. The gun housing is made entirely from plastic, including integral pistol handle and trigger guard. The top-folding buttstock is made from stamped steel. Safety / fire mode selector is located at the left side of the gun, above the trigger. The charging “button” is located just above the muzzle and should be pressed with one finger (not that easy to do so!) to retract the bolt. It is also unsafe, in my opinion, and mounting of silencer will interfere with charging, too. Weird! Another strange, if not weird, thing is the field stripping. To disassemble the PP-90M1, one must screw out the long disassembly screw, located above the magazine. This requires no tools, but can take about 20-30 seconds. When screw is gone, you then can took the barrel, bolt and return spring out of the gun by pulling it forward.

Black Ops Cold War dev hints at Flak Jacket fix

After repeated complaints about how overpowered it is, a Black Ops Cold War dev has hinted that a Flak Jacket fix is being worked on.

All of all the perks in the game, Flak Jacket is a rather innocuous one, but one that has possibly caused the most headaches. It seems capable of deflecting almost the entire blast of an explosive device, but a BOCW dev has hinted that a Flak Jacket hotfix is in the works.

The usual debate and murmur about perks are “which one is best” and suited to what mode. Well, it seems that most player’s poison – especially for Hardcore – is Flak Jacket.

Black Ops Cold War indeed has plenty of lethal equipment that splatters your insides onto a wall and makes it look like abstract art, but it seems to be happening less and fewer thanks to Flak Jacket.

When is the fix coming?

If you’re not sure of what Flak Jacket can actually offer you, here’s the official game’s description of the perk: “Take less damage from enemy explosives and Molotov and Combat Bow flames.

In this instance, less damage seems to be almost hyperbolic as the perk now seems to be preventing any damage at all from taking place. Not only is it not killing people when they should rightfully be in the ground, but it’s making lots of the game’s arsenal ineffectual and redundant, e.g., grenades, War Machine, etc.

The incessant complaints have led to Reddit rants with one user, Cepheagle, saying: “imagine if /u/foxhoundFPS actually did his job and forwarded things like this to the team. One day .. or never.”

The brazen statement insinuates that Treyarch is aware of the issue but is choosing not to address it. However, FoxhoundFPS – Community Manager Josh Torres at Treyarch – has duly responded to the user’s, and everyone else’s, complaints.

“There was actually a discussion about this yesterday. I’ve seen your posts and I understand that you’re not pleased with the “gaps,” but I can only speak to the things that I can speak to.”

So contrary to the community’s thoughts, Treyarch is alerted to the presence of Flak Jacket’s overly-defensive properties. You can imagine this is just one problem in a whole heap of issues and bugs that Treyarch is actively working on fixes for.

Controversial Camo challenge infuriates Black Ops Cold War players

Black Ops Cold War players are not happy with the Policia camo challenge for Assault Rifles.

Black Ops Cold War players are voicing their gripes with a certain camo challenge.

All Call of Duty games for the past few years have all had mastery camos available in game, and each game has its share of difficult challenges.

In Modern Warfare, the launcher challenges were long and dragged out, and players had to kill 3 players without dying 25 times with the knife and Riot Shield. In Black Ops Cold War, there’s one camo that’s for almost every weapon in the game, and it’s called Policia.

The Policia Camo

For submachine guns, the camo challenge requires close range kills (and by that we mean very close range kills), but for Assault Rifles, it requires you to take down 50 enemies taking cover from you, which makes it the most situational camo challenge in the game.

Not only do you need to kill an enemy taking cover who is looking at you, but you also need to hope the game registers the kill to the challenge, and the game can be very picky with what is registered.

In response, Reddit user “Dementor8919” took to the Black Ops Cold War subreddit to voice his frustrations.

I know it has literally never happened, at least to my knowledge, but can you PLEASE make this a different camo challenge? I hate camos where you quite literally have to depend on other people to do said thing. Please man I’m begging you. from r/blackopscoldwar

The post amassed over 5,000 upvotes over the course of a day and resulted in a wide amount of fellow reddit users to come to the post and voice their frustrations as well.

The highest comment by user “BathroomZoom” stated that Black Ops 2 did the camos best, due to the fact that you could progress your challenges during natural gameplay, vs the new challenge system where you may have to play differently or hop in a specific game mode for progress.

Many commenters also agreed with Zoom’s comment, but other comments stated that Black Ops 2’s camo grind was too easy.

Overall, it’s safe to say players aren’t very happy with this situational camo challenge in Black Ops Cold War. Perhaps Treyarch will reduce the amount of kills required to get the camo, or make the challenge more forgiving for when it registers the kills.

If you’re grinding for this camo, the best advice we have comes from Reddit user “ThyOnlySandMan” who recommends playing on Armada, where other players are often taking cover.

Black Ops Cold War season one leaks are surfacing across social media.

Season 1 leaks for Black Ops Cold War are out in the wild, here’s a recap of them all.

Black Ops Cold War Season One is coming in December. Leaks have surfaced all over the internet regarding content coming to the game, so here’s a breakdown.

Christmas Nuketown

Nuketown will be receiving a make-over for the Holiday season with festive holiday decorations that will glow bright under the darkness of the night. This will be the first time Treyarch has a holiday twist on a map, similar to how Infinity Ward did Christmas Crash for the Modern Warfare games.

Raid

Apparently, Raid will be returning in Season 1 as one of the new maps. Raid was a beloved classic from Black Ops 2 that was later remade in Black Ops 3 as a map called Empire and appeared in Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.

We don’t know for sure if this is coming this season, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Treyarch followed the trend.

Five New Maps

In another image circulating, there are a total of 4 maps coming to the game. One takes place on the set of a game show, presumably a gunfight map, next up there’s a map that takes place in the Berlin tunnels, third we have a map that takes place in a rocket test facility, a large mall, and last there’s a map that takes place in what appears to be the KGB headquarters.

Rebirth Island

For Warzone specifically, it appears Alcatraz will be returning from Blackout. Players will be able to drop into the prison island and fight until the last man is standing. It will be hectic, especially with the gulag system if it is activated.

In Blackout there were respawns on this map, so maybe we’ll see that mechanic return as well.

New Cosmetics

Alongside all of these leaks were tons of drops about cosmetics coming to the game. There will be a large selection of mastercraft weapon packs and operator bundles for use in both Modern Warfare and Warzone. Here’s a breakdown of all of them.

It’s not immediately clear if all of these bundles will be available for use in Modern Warfare and Warzone, but it seems to be a focus on Infinity Ward and Treyarch to integrate all the packs across games. We’ll find out in Season 1.
