Naughty Dog’s next game set to be a new IP with a fantasy setting

It seems that Naughty Dog’s next game will not be a follow-up to The Last of Us Part II. It could be a new IP with a fantasy-themed setting.

Unexpectedly, Naughty Dog’s next game may not be a new Uncharted or even a sequel to The Last of Us Part II. A Senior Concept Artist for Naughty Dog has hinted at a new IP entirely.

In a somewhat surprising turn of events, the next direction for Naughty Dog may not be a familiar one. It’s not out of the question for them to explore new avenues as they generally don’t like to stay on the same franchise for too long.

Given how TLOU2 ended, it seemed a foregone conclusion that a third game would be next. However, some concept art would indicate that a new IP could be in the works.

New Naughty Dog Fantasy IP

The revelation arises from a post on Naughty Dog Senior Concept Artist Hyoung Nam’s ArtStation account. The platform is used to create exposure for artists to showcase their portfolio of work.

Hyoung posted three amazing pieces of artwork, but also paired them with an interesting caption, “Inspire from new game. You know what I’m talking about…”.

The three images are well-detailed and their theme is noticeably unlike anything that Naughty Dog has done previously. They’ve either made cartoony games in the form of Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter, or mature games like Uncharted & The Last of Us.

Naughty Dog love new challenges and exploring a fantasy setting across a kingdom is certainly not beyond them. Following in the steps of The Witcher 3, Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones, Naughty Dog would thrive on the opportunity to make something incredible like this.

It’s a very interesting message that can be interpreted in several ways. On one hand, especially in the modern age, hints and easter eggs are always a fantastic way to drum up speculation and get people talking.

On the other hand, you have to question if this is the way they want to unofficially let people know about their new game?

As is to be expected, this information is purely speculation and rumor at this point.

Batman X Fortnite Season 5

Exclusive Batman universe-themed skins will be available in Fortnite in the future according to popular leakers.

Fortnite has seen a rush of crossovers for the past few months, with notable franchises like Terminator, Street Fighter & Star Wars entering the arena with their universes characters.

Now it appears that an exclusive Batman X Zero Point promo is coming soon to fans of Fortnite, and according to popular Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, it will drop on April 20, 2021.

According to Shiina, there will be a new Rebirth Harley Quinn skin variant added to the game, which will be exclusive to those who purchase a print edition of the Zero Point comic book.

This skin and comic will surely become a collectible in due time, so be sure to snag a comic book as soon as you can.

Additionally, it also seems Shiina believes a Batman Point Armored skin is in the works as well to ship in April. Currently, it’s unknown on how exactly we’ll be able to obtain this skin, but we’re willing to bet it will most likely appear in the item shop.

This partnership between Epic Games and DC looks like its going quite well, especially considering this will be the second time we see the partnership in full effect after the Batman event in September of 2019.

Perhaps we will see more Zero Point comic books in the future, and maybe all the physical copies of those comic books will all include unique skins for players to obtain in-game.

Regardless of where the future takes this partnership between DC and Epic Games, we’re excited nonetheless to see the next chapter. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Rocket League Blueprints

You can use Blueprints to get yourself some cool new cosmetics that are part of the Rocket League Season 2 Item Series, so here’s how you can get your hands on them.

The Season 2 Item Series has brought a ton of new items to Rocket League. This includes a slick new vehicle known as the Tygris and other additions such as new decal, wheels, and the Air Strike Goal Explosion.

You can unlock these items either by visiting the Item Shop, or by building them from Blueprints that you receive after matches. Here’s everything you need to know about Blueprints, including how you can acquire them.

Rocket League Blueprints

Blueprints in Rocket League are rewards that you’ll have a chance of receiving after completing online matches. Once you get your hands on one of these, it will show you exactly what item you can build and the price in credits it will cost.

It won’t cost anything to check an Unrevealed Blueprint, and you can choose build the item right away, or keep it in your inventory for later. You can also trade both the Blueprint, and the item you get from it, with other players on the same platform.

Some of these have special attributes and can be used to unlock Painted, Certified, and Special Edition variants. You should absolutely keep an eye out for these as you can acquire better quality items through them.

Tygris in Rocket League

Rocket League’s Season 2 Item Series has started bringing some brand new Blueprints to the game. The highlight is the brand new Tygris, along with a dozen other items ranging from Rare to Black Market rarity.

The developers have confirmed that Dominus will get a special decal as it finally joins the Octane and Fennec in the Huntress club. Other new additions include the W.I.P. and Exalter decal, Medianic and Bravado wheels, and Ambustion boost.

Alternatively, you can also purchase these from the Item Shop, but it’s more rewarding to earn Blueprints. So, be sure to play well, and get yourself some nifty items in the new season!

Aliens in Fortnite

The legendary Alien movie franchise is the latest to team up with Epic Games for a crossover in Fortnite Season 5. Here’s how you can get your hands on the brand new Ellen Ripley and Xenomorph skins.

Fortnite Season 5 has introduced numerous crossovers with other franchises, as we’ve seen the arrival of Master ChiefThe Terminator, and The Flash, among others. Now, Epic Games have brought in some new cosmetics from the Alien franchise.

The iconic sci-fi heroine Ellen Ripley has shown up on Fortnite Island alongside her nemesis, the Xenomorph. There is also a cute Chestburster emote that comes with these skins, and here’s how you can get this bundle for yourself.

Ripley and the Xenomorph in Fortnite

Certain Fortnite cosmetics sets become available immediately through the Battle Pass, while others have you complete a few challenges or quests first. Luckily, this Alien bundle requires far less effort for you to get it.

You can acquire the entire Space Gear Bundle from the Item Shop for a limited time. This cosmetics set consists of the following items:

  • Ellen Ripley Skin
  • Xenomorph Skin
  • Xenomorph Tail Back Bling
  • Xeno Menace (Built-in Emote)
  • Nostromo Crew Outfit
  • Weyland-Yutani Cat Carrier
  • P-500 Power Loader Arm Pickaxe
  • Cheyenne Dropship Glider
  • Burst Case Scenario Emote

The developers have done a great job of emulating the aesthetic of the 1979 classic with these items. You can choose to either terrify your opponents as the Xenomorph, or show how hard-hearted you can be as the iconic Ellen Ripley.

Epic Games confirmed in a official blog post that these cosmetic items are available from Thursday, February 25 onwards, but they haven’t elaborated on when the bundle will disappear from the in-game store.

Cosmetic bundles always come and go in Fortnite’s Item Shop, so we don’t expect these skins to stick around there for long. Which is why you should get your hands on the Alien set before it disappears.

With a few weeks of Fortnite Season 5 still left, we’re left wondering what other crossovers we can expect, with Family Guy’s Peter Griffin even being rumored to join the battle royale.
