For players who can’t wait to hit the court, NBA 2K25 will host an early access period, giving fans the opportunity to try out the game ahead of the full launch.

The upcoming installment in the long-running franchise recently received its first Courtside Report, with the devs going into all the gameplay changes that should help freshen up the overall experience. They also revealed plans for an early access period called Early Tip-Off.

So, if you’re looking to play it before the release date, here’s everything you need to know about NBA 2K25 early access, including the platforms it’s available on.

How to play NBA 2K25 early

You can get early access to NBA 2K25 by pre-ordering any edition of the game, whether it’s the Standard, Deluxe, or All-Star edition. That said, you’ll need to pre-order the game before September 5 to participate in the Early Tip-Off.

The early access period will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Players on Nintendo Switch will not be able to play the game early.

During Early Tip-Off, you’ll have access to the full game, including all the Season 1 content.

When does NBA 2K25 early access start?

NBA 2K25 early access will kick off on September 4 at 10:00 AM BST/ 5:00 AM ET/ 2:00 AM PT. This means that players participating in the Early Tip-Off can access the game two days early ahead of its worldwide release on September 6.
