Call of Duty: Vanguard is still months away from release, but new leaks claim that WWII’s London Docks map, along with other classics, will be returning to the series as DLC content when the game drops later in 2021.

There’s still a few months of Black Ops Cold War remaining, but that hasn’t stopped Call of Duty fans from searching for any scrap of information they can find about CoD: Vanguard.

While not officially revealed by Activision just yet, leaks have been giving players an idea of what is to come later in the year. Allegedly set during World War II, Warzone is apparently set to receive a totally revamped map, while Sledgehammer and Treyarch are rumored to be co-developing the game’s Zombies mode.

There hasn’t been much discussion about multiplayer though, at least until now. According to insider ‘TheMW2Ghost,’ World War II’s London Docks map will return in Vanguard, along with other “fan-favorite” maps from iconic CoD games.

Developed by Sledgehammer Games for WWII back in 2017, London Docks was one of the most popular maps in the game. It was also used by pro players in competitive matches, a map so good that Hardpoint, Capture the Flag, and Search & Destroy were all played within its confines.

London Docks fits the WWII aesthetic perfectly, an industrial area with England’s iconic Tower Bridge in the background. Whether Sledgehammer intend to drop an exact remake or make some tweaks remains unknown, but considering how many players loved this map, we would be surprised to see major changes take place.

The map will not be included when the game launches though, with TheMW2Ghost claiming it will be downloadable content in either the first or second season of Vanguard.

On top of that, TheMW2Ghost says that a World War II version of a fan-favorite map will also return in the game, but didn’t reveal which one it could be.

Of course, as with any leaks, this information has to be taken with a pinch of salt as it hasn’t been confirmed by Sledgehammer or Activision.
