Some new Vanguard leaks are now suggesting that a major crossover with the popular Attack on Titan anime will be coming soon to the new Call of Duty title.

While the Call of Duty series isn’t known for having a ton of crossovers like Fortnite, we’ve seen Activision add Scream’s Ghostface, Die Hard’s John McClane, and Frank from Donnie Darko.

Now, it seems that some fun content is also planned for CoD Vanguard, as some leaks have emerged which strongly hint at the arrival of an Attack on Titan crossover in the near future.

This information came from Call of Duty leaker Nanikos who tweeted that they’d found some interesting things in the game’s memory dump, including the mention of a “swordtitan,” as well as an “aot_titan” operator.

These could be hitting at the arrival of some crossover content from the popular manga series Attack on Titan, written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The second half of the final season of the anime is set to release in 2022.

“The theory is that there’ll be an Attack On Titan crossover for Vanguard. (Probably sometime December if that is the case),” tweeted the leaker.

Another leaker called Zesty stated that the game will also receive a new sword that’s not a Katana. That melee weapon will likely be inspired by the anime series and will be part of the crossover.

However, the leaker also makes it clear that the weapon being from Attack on Titan is currently just a theory, as the developers have yet to verify this information.

“It is codenamed ‘aot_swords’/’s4_me_swordtitan’ and when I read ‘AOT’ I just think of ‘Attack on Titan’…just a tinfoil hat theory though,” Zesty tweeted.

However, it’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, and the Attack on Titan crossover has not been officially confirmed by Sledgehammer or Activision. So, be sure to take this information with a grain of salt.

That said, the idea of an anime-themed Attack on Titan crossover in Vanguard is exciting for fans of both franchises. We might see some cool new cosmetics arrive that are based on the elements from the show.

We’ll keep checking any for more developments regarding this and will be sure to update you once we may some accurate and official information.
