Ted Lasso AFC Richmond FIFA 23 leak

According to a leak, Ted Lasso’s AFC Richmond could make their debut in FIFA 23 as the fictional football club of a massively popular television series.

Ted Lasso has been a worldwide hit since the series premiered on Apple TV in 2020. The showrunners are currently gearing up for Ted Lasso’s third season which is expected to begin before the end of 2022.

In an interesting turn of events for Ted Lasso fans, a leak is suggesting that the show’s fictional AFC Richmond could make their way to FIFA 23. The groundbreaking news is fresh off Ted Lasso’s Best Comedy Series win at the 2022 Emmy Awards.

FIFA 23 is set to release on September 30, but we’ll likely find out if AFC Richmond is indeed in the game when early access begins on September 27. EA Sports have begun to reveal the official FIFA 23 ratings, but leaks continue to generate buzz prior to release.

As you can see from the leaked image below posted to the Ted Lasso subreddit, it appears that AFC Richmond data was found in FIFA 23.

The potential collaboration has sent fans of the series into frenzied excitement: “I am very hopeful unless it’s a bug. No player ratings are available yet, but I would be over the moon.”

One fan pointed out that the inclusion of AFC Richmond in FIFA 23 is not such a farfetched idea given the show’s recent licensing deal with the Premier League: “The show did a licencing deal with the Premier league, so it’s possible they could be included somewhere as part of that maybe.”

We’ll have to wait and see if rumors are true to discover the logistics behind the leaked inclusion of AFC Richmond, but it’s safe to say players are excited at the prospect of running some of Ted Lasso’s famous tactics: “Can I run the Lasso Special? Because if I can’t then what’s the point of even buying this game?”
