Warzone players passionately call for quitting penalty to be added

Call of Duty: Warzone players are fed up with teammates leaving games and are suggesting the developers introduce a penalty for leaving.

Warzone quitting penalty

Call of Duty: Warzone players have called upon the developers to introduce a quitting penalty for duos, trios, and squads as players are fed up with having teammates leave before the game is over.

Although Warzone has had a lot of success since the Season 5 Reloaded update, especially since the Iron Trials ’84 mode was introduced, recently, players have been unhappy with the state of the game.

Since the September 23 update, players have been noticing performance issues that have been running the experience. As well as these issues, players are now calling for developers to fix another, which involves introducing a leavers penalty.

Warzone players aren’t the first battle royale community to ask the developers to introduce a leavers penalty, as Apex Legends now has a similar system for ranked and Arenas, incentivizing players to stay in games longer.

This is the issue Reddit user Binarycold has been having in Warzone, as they put up a post explaining what it’s like to play “Warzone with strangers.”

In the post, the player seems to be fed with random teammates leaving games before it’s even done, stating that every game mode may as well be called solos or solos pending “since no one can ever stay in a full game.”

The user then states that the developers should “implement some penalty for quitting out, this is ridiculous!” Clearly, this player isn’t the only one who feels this way, as others in the comments also share a similar opinion:

“I’d love to see a deserter stat. Only applies on control initiated drops, not poor connection. I’d like people to be notified if the team they left won it too, or came second and might have won if the awol player would have stayed.

People have no tenacity any more. If they have a rough landing, they bolt. Where’s the grit? Softies”

It’s very frustrating when teammates leave the game when you could potentially recover from a bad landing or win a game despite being disadvantaged by a teammate dying.

We’re sure many teammates have missed out on great games and even victories as they have left way too early and would undoubtedly appreciate the developers introducing a leavers penalty to discourage this from happening.

With Warzone integrating with Vanguard in the future, there is always a possibility for the addition of a quitting penalty to be one of the changes made to the Call of Duty battle royale.

Best Kar98k loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 5

The Kar98k is considered to be one of the best loadout choices in Warzone Season 5, so use this class to maximize your sniping talent.

best warzone kar98k loadout

The Kar98k is the best Marksman Rifle in Warzone, and this loadout class will allow you to dominate when it comes to long-range sniping and close-range quick-scoping in Season 5.

Warzone has separated Sniper Rifles and Marksman Rifles into different categories. Sniper Rifles, such as the AX-50 and LW3 Tundra, are heavier and designed for range in Warzone. The Marksman Rifles are lighter and more versatile but don’t pack as much punch.

The Kar98k Marksman Rifle comes with high bullet velocity, one-shot headshots, and excellent mobility, making it the perfect choice for any playstyle. Plus, YouTuber TrueGameData discovered that it’s the best Sniper Rifle for controller players. It has much more aim assist than the Swiss K31, which makes it the perfect choice.

Here are the attachments and perks to run to make the best Warzone Kar98k loadout class during Season 5.

Best Warzone Kar98k loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″ Barrel
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: Sniper Scope (Crossthread Reticle)
  • Stock: FTAC Sport Comb

The best Warzone Kar98k loadout improves upon the weapon’s range and bullet velocity potential while maintaining speed. As a result, you’ll be capable of taking down targets with a single headshot from any range and will get to quick-scope easily with the best Warzone Kar98k loadout.

We’ll start the best Warzone Kar98k loadout Monolithic Suppressor and the Singuard Custom 27.6″ to increase its effective damage range along with bullet velocity. You won’t have to worry about lead or bullet drop, so aim for the head.

However, these attachments will slow the weapon down. The Tac Laser and FTAC Sport Comb stock will compensate for this by speeding up ADS time and mobility. This way, you won’t be left vulnerable to enemy snipers for too long.

The 7x magnification of the Sniper Scope suits almost any range in Verdansk. The Sniper Scope comes with an arrow-shaped reticle as default, but after getting 200 kills using the Sniper Scope on any weapon, you will unlock the Crossthread reticle.

This is the more classic cross shape, which is perfect for hitting long-range headshots with the best Warzone Kar98k loadout.

Best perks to use with Warzone Kar98k class

double time perk in call of duty warzone
  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Overkill / Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped

Double Time will increase your Tactical Sprint duration as well as increasing your speed while sprinting. While sniping, repositioning between shots is vital. Sprint around and keep your enemy guessing where you’ll appear from, and you’ll find sniper fights much easier.

We strongly recommend paring an Assault Rifle or SMG with the Kar98k for close-range encounters. Overkill will allow you to take two primary weapons from your first loadout. Then you can hide from the radar with Ghost from your next loadout.

Finally, you should pick Amped as it allows you to instantly change to your secondary weapon, further increasing your speed on the map.

Most recent Kar98k buffs and nerfs

The Kar98k hasn’t been buffed or nerfed in a long time, which is perhaps why it has remained in the top three most popular weapons for months. There have been calls for Kar98k, and its flinched to be nerfed, but Raven Software hasn’t announced any plans.

Players who have not yet added this rifle to their inventory can do so by reaching Rank 33 in either Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Warzone.

Once you have reached level 33, you will be able to equip this Marksman Rifle and begin to level it up to make the best Warzone Kar98k loadout.

Best alternatives

If you’re looking for a great alternative to the best Warzone Kar98k loadout, then you should try out the Swiss K31 Sniper Rifle. It’s got excellent bullet velocity, incredibly fast ADS, and is just as good as the Kar98. Plus, it’s believed to be the better option for mouse and keyboard players.

Or, if you’re looking to do some long-range sniping, you can’t go wrong with Modern Warfare’s HDR.

Alex Mason in Black Ops Cold War

A new leak looks to have revealed the first look at the Alex Mason Operator that is expected to be a significant player in the story for Call of Duty: warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6.

Season 6 is right around the corner for both Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, with the community excited to see where the story for both games will be going after the previous five seasons.

The Season 5 outro cinematic that was released recently gave players a tease of who will be major players in the story for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War in Season 6, with Alex Mason being teased as the best person to bring in a rogue Adler thanks to his experience with The Numbers Broadcast that is currently taking over Verdansk.

Alex Mason’s return looks to have received further confirmation, as a recent leak has revealed the Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 key art that has Alex Mason front and center.

This particular leak was posted by PlayStation Game Size on Twitter and showed what appears to be the key art for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 with Mason holding out his hand.

With the likes of Frank Woods and Hudson being playable Operators in Warzone and Cold War, it is not surprising to see that Alex Mason will likely become a playable character in the last season for Black Ops Cold War.

Mason was not featured as heavily in Cold War compared to his roles in Black Ops and Black Ops II, so it will be interesting to see how his speculated return in Season 6 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War will play out.

There is no doubt that many players will be excited to see Alex Mason return as a playable character if this Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 leak comes to fruition.
