Rockstar’s Edinburgh site is currently eyeing up potential game testers to find bugs, write reports, and ensure Rockstar’s games are functioning. This has naturally fueled speculation that GTA 6 could be closer than we think.
With every week that passes, it becomes even more astonishing that Grand Theft Auto 6 has yet to be formally announced by Rockstar Games. Their parent company Take-Two Interactive recently came out to publicly address the game’s whereabouts, but other than that, we’re still all left wondering where it is.
Lately, we’ve learned that GTA 6 may not be set in the 1980s as first thought, yet it could still take place in the beloved Vice City. The latest buzz is about the new job listings which point to one of their major games being ready to test.
According to The National, Rockstar is advertising for 48 different roles across their studios, with the main focus being placed on the game tester positions in Edinburgh.

The role states that testers will need to be “passionate, enthusiastic, and self-motivated” and will need the following skills:
- Ensuring product quality of Rockstar releases to an industry-leading standard
- Creating and actioning comprehensive test plans ensuring everything is functioning correctly
- Writing concise bug reports and providing all relevant supporting information such as screenshots, videos, and game logs
One conclusion that everyone will come to is that these roles are for the upcoming GTA 5: Expanded and Enhanced remaster coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X.
On the other hand, for years, developers and musicians have secretly been working on projects and then suddenly released them. Or just flat-out announced them with an imminent release date.
Rockstar is clearly not a company afraid to venture out of the norm, and with E3 on the horizon and potential Rockstar games to be announced, it’s very possible that Grand Theft Auto 6 could arrive sooner than expected.

How to change your license plate in GTA Online
Here’s how you can create, customize, and apply your very own custom vehicle license plates in GTA Online.
Grand Theft Auto players can customize their rides in many ways, and one of them is to change their license plate. Here’s how to get unique plates in GTA Online.
With GTA Online being out for almost eight years, players have accumulated a ton of unique and powerful vehicles. Even more vehicles arrived in the Los Santos Tuners update, and you can always take a spin at the weekly Prize Ride.
With all of your cars in your collection, you want to personalize them and make them your own. One way to do this is to equip a personalized license plate and this isn’t straightforward, so here’s how to do it.
How to change license plate in GTA Online
Where many players may become tripped up when trying to change their license plate is that you can’t actually do it inside of GTA itself. You’ll need to download an app and change it from there.
The first time you create a custom plate will be free, but you’ll be charged $100,000 for every new plate afterward.
Here’s how to change your license plate in GTA Online:
- Download the iFruit app on the App Store or Google Play Store
- Sign in with your Rockstar Social Club account
- Select the LS Custom app
- Scroll down until you see your GTA Online account
- Click on your desired vehicle
- Select the license plate in the top right corner
- Press ‘+’ to add a new plate
- Type in your new license plate (up to eight characters)
- Select the color
- Save the plate
- Launch GTA Online on your console or PC
- Drive the selected vehicle to a LS Custom Shop
- Accept the ‘Process App Order’ prompt
- Navigate to the ‘Plate’ category in the shop
- Select your new custom license plate
It’s worth noting that the iFruit app is now dated and may not work properly on your phone. Several players have reported that the app constantly crashes and there doesn’t appear to be a solution. Maybe Rockstar will give the app an overhaul with the upcoming Expanded and Enhanced Edition of GTA V.

FIFA 22 pack animations: How to tell if it’s boards or a walkout
Packs are the lifeblood of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, and there’s an easy way to tell if you’re about to get boards or a walkout.
Opening packs is one of the many things that makes FIFA 22 Ultimate Team so addictive, as we desperately hunt for that next star player. Luckily, there is a way to tell if you’re getting a boards or walkout player before you see their face.
FIFA 22 has landed, and eager fans are jumping back into the Ultimate Team grind for another season. A dizzying amount of packs have already been opened, as fans seek to pull the game’s highest-rated players.
Even though EA has made the pack animations far less drawn out this year, there is still a period of suspense while you’re waiting for the player to reveal himself.
However, those with a keen eye will notice a way of knowing how good the pack is ahead of time.
FIFA 22 boards pack animation
Every card can be useful in some way, whether it be as a starter in your Ultimate Team, an impact sub, or SBC fodder. That being said, everyone opens a pack with the hope of getting someone who’s at least boards.
These cards have a rating of 83 or above, and in some cases can still have very high values depending on their stats, league, and nation.
The giveaway from EA that you have packed a boards player is that the stage that shows off the best card in the pack will have orange flames on both sides.
Once you spot it, you know you’re guaranteed at least an 83-rated card or higher.
FIFA 22 walkout pack animation
While packing a boards player is by no means a bad result – what fans really want to see is a walkout.
As the name suggests, these cards are rated 86 or higher and are accompanied by an animation of the player walking onto the screen and doing some sort of celebration.
Much like boards, these packs are also met with fireworks that light up the screen. This time you’ll see six different flames from all around the stage to hammer home that you’ve been awarded something particularly special.
So, that’s how you can tell how good a pack is before the best player inside is revealed.
Some fans have complained that the animations this year are too fast, urging EA to drag them out slightly more to make openings more entertaining.
We’ll update his page with any new tells that are added or discovered by fans.
