New trailer drops for GTA Online Cayo Perico heist
The Cayo Perico Heist is the largest expansion in GTA Online’s history. Now, Rockstar Games has released a brand new trailer to give us a better look at this ambitious event.
The highly-anticipated Cayo Perico Heist is the latest Grand Theft Auto Online event. Many fans are extremely excited about this expansion, as the developers have boasted about it being the most ambitious and expansive addition to the world of Los Santos so far.
Rockstar has released a new trailer for the event, and it gives us a look at the remote island on which this heist will take place. It will be up to you and whoever is on your team to infiltrate this location and steal a piece of evidence from a notorious drug dealer.
GTA Online Cayo Perico Heist trailer
Rockstar Games attached a blog post to the trailer on their official website. In this, they go over what you should expect when you arrive at the island.
“Cayo Perico is not only the nerve center of El Rubio’s drug empire, but the island also plays host to his other great love: marathon dance parties on golden beaches, where everyone from jetsetters and heiresses to legendary music producers gather to rave until the sun comes up.
“But away from the beach’s earthly delights lies an untold fortune in art, gold, and drug money, scattered across the island. It’s the score of a lifetime for those who can find a way in.”
What to expect from The Cayo Perico Heist?
Cayo Perico is the first-ever map expansion in GTA V’s world, and you can perform this heist either solo or with a team of up to three players. You’ll gain access to various new vehicles and weapons, as well as a submarine HQ.
The underwater vessel is heavily armed and will serve as a place for you to lay low while making your next move. Rockstar has also hinted at other hidden surprises within the submarine. We don’t know what these are yet, but the trailer does show other cool things.
There’s a new gunboat that’s been painted to resemble a shark. This might be used to escape if the heist goes off without a hitch. We can also see a military helicopter and a Grapple Hook that will be a big part of the heist.
The trailer also shows off the dance clubs that you can visit in the expansion. These will serve as social areas where you can relax with your friends, get some drinks, and enjoy the beats dropped by the world-class guest DJs. You can also listen to radio stations that have over 100 new songs.
The Cayo Perico Heist is the biggest GTA Online event that we’ve seen. We can’t wait for its release on December 15, 2020.
