Warzone player wins Gulag in clever way
One Warzone player has come up with a clever tactic to secure victories in the Gulag, while catching your enemies by surprise.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s miniaturized Nuketown Gulag has been criticized by fans for a while, but but one player has found a clever tactic that you can use to secure quick wins.
The “new” Gulag in Warzone is a smaller version of Nuketown that has faced some problems since it was added to the game. It has received a ton of criticism from players, even after removing the controversial bug giving players an unfair advantage.
Despite this, a few clever players still try to discover the best tactics for securing victories when they play. Now, one Warzone fan has come up with a brilliant tactic for getting the drop on your opponent and winning the Gulag.
Reddit user bloodcorona posted a clip in the CoD: Warzone subreddit, in which he showcased a fun little strategy to catch your enemies by surprise. “Nobody ever expects you to jump on the sign,” wrote the player.
This strategy mainly consists of jumping onto a sign from an elevated position and then finishing off your opponent with a single shot or knife throw. The Reddit user showed various instances of this working well in the short clip.
Through this, they were able to score quick and easy kills against enemies that were camping while also securing Gulag victories in some instances. Many other players expressed their admiration for this in the comments.
While the tactic itself is clever, many of the comments attributed bloodcorona’s victory to his skill set. “Damn, I thought I was getting some great intel on how to win in gulag,” wrote one player. ” Apparently, you still have to be a great shot. Which I am not. Sadly.”
“Jokes on you,” noted another player. “I can’t make that jump or that knife throw!” So, this isn’t something you can abuse without practicing your aim and timing for long periods.
Despite this, it’s still an impressive strategy for surprising your enemies. It just goes to show that you can discover fun new tactics by experimenting in the Gulag. Even pro players like Aydan have made their fair share of discoveries this way.

When is Warzone’s nuke event? Date, time, details, and how to watch
Warzone’s rumored Season 2 nuke event is almost upon us, so here’s how to watch it, as well as the location and time – welcoming Season 3.
The nuclear destruction of Verdansk is almost here, so here’s everything we know about Warzone Season 2’s nuclear event, including the time, location, and what may happen regarding Season 3 in the battle royale.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 has been gearing towards an explosive finale for some time. Zombies have slowly been taking over Verdansk, and missile silos have appeared, seemingly, with the goal to destroy the undead.
Due to leaks and rumors, many believe that Verdansk will be nuked at the end of Season 2, and a recent teaser has given us a time and date for this devastating event.
Here’s everything we know about the imminent destruction of Verdansk heading into Warzone Season 3.
What is the Warzone Season 2 nuke event?
It’s been long leaked and theorized that a nuke will destroy Verdansk. After a nuclear bomb was discovered inside one of Verdansk’s bunkers, it’s long been expected that Verdansk will end in complete devastation.
Then, at the beginning of Season 2, missile silos appeared beneath memorials around Verdansk and Zombies landed on the shore. Warzone streamer NICKMERCS believed this would be the beginning of the nuke event, and that now appears to be correct.
Audio files were then leaked for a ‘Plague’ game mode that is believed to be the season-ending nuke event. From the audio, we can tell that Zombies have overrun Verdansk and it’s the players’ job to clear them out. The mode is set to end with the announcer stating: “Extraction canceled, nuke inbound for Verdansk.”
How to watch Warzone’s nuke event
Similar to Black Ops Cold War’s reveal in-game, players experience the event in-game. As Cold War’s reveal was the only live event we’ve had in Warzone to date, the nuke event will follow this format.
When is Warzone’s nuke event?
In a teaser trailer released to their Twitter page, Call of Duty gave us a time and date for the nuke event. They revealed that the event will occur on April 21 at 12 PM PT.
For the rest of the world, here are the times:
- 12 PM PT
- 3 PM ET
- 8 PM BST
- 5 AM AEST (April 22)
Make sure you log in to Call of Duty: Warzone ahead of time just in case there are server issues.
The Warzone Nuke event will be a multi-part event, starting at the above times and ending over 24 hours later on April 22 at 12PM Pacific.
Here’s a graphic showcasing the different times for each step, with more information on what each step is to be revealed as we get closer.
What are Warzone’s Nuclear Radiation Zones?
As we draw closer and closer to Verdansk’s nuke event, April 15 appears to have brought the beginning of the end.
Zombies arrived on Verdansk’s shore at the beginning of Season 2 when the Vodianoy cargo ship crash-landed on the coast by Prison. This started a Zombie outbreak, which has now reached the other side of the map.
That’s not all, however. The Zombies’ takeover of Verdansk has reached 100% and new Nuclear Radiation Zones have formed around Shipwreck and Prison. Red circles with a nuclear symbol grow outwards from these locations at the beginning of matches.
These are the first two zones that the Zombies took over, so we expect them to engulf Hospital, Downtown, Superstore, and TV Station as the week progresses.
Going into these zones will slowly kill you, similar to the ring of gas, but with a twist. If you die from the radiation, you will come back as a Zombie. Bear in mind, you will only become one of the undead in squads modes – not solos.
As the season draws to a close and more of the map is covered in Nuclear Radiation, it appears we truly have hit the beginning of the end.
Where in Verdansk is Warzone’s nuke event?
Teasers from Activision have confirmed that the Zombies’ invasion of Verdansk will culminate at Dam. They have been sending influencers teasers ahead of each Zombie location shift, and the latest revealed Dam was the next Zombie location.
The note accompanying a hard hat labeled with Dam said, “Once the hostiles reach here, we levee a guess that Verdansk is all but gone to the damned. April 21st 12PM.”
With Verdansk being “all but gone to the damned,” it’s safe to assume this is the beginning of the nuke event. From this, it’s likely that the nuke event will begin at Verdansk’s Dam.
What happens after Warzone’s nuke event?
The nuke’s devastation remains to be seen. Players may have to take shelter in one of the various bunkers around Verdansk and we’ll emerge to nuclear fallout. Or, Verdansk will be wiped off the face of the earth, forcing the game to head to a different area or time period, perhaps the leaked 1980s Verdansk.
Warzone could also do something similar to Fortnite’s season-ending live events. After the event has concluded, there is often a downtime before the next season begins. With the Warzone map expected to have such a big overhaul, it’s possible that the game will be offline for a while before the next season begins.
Will Warzone move to a new map?
As other battle royale games such as Fortnite, Apex Legends, and PUBG have several maps that evolve over time, it’s long been predicted that Warzone will be receiving another main map.
It was first predicted that Modern Warfare’s fictional setting, Urzikstan, would arrive in Warzone and bring with it classic Middle-East maps such as Crash, Afgan, and Invasion – but it never arrived.
Then, with the release of Black Ops Cold War, it was expected that the Ural Mountains would be the next location for Call of Duty’s Battle Royale. This theory was recently made less likely after a leak revealed the Ural Mountains map was designed for a scrapped “Blackout 2.0.”
Now, we understand that Warzone is set to give Verdansk a 1980s overhaul for Season 3. A celebrity commercial was leaked that showcased Verdansk in the 1980s. Stadium was still under construction and Dam was replaced by a viaduct. A poster for Moscow’s 1980 Olympics was found inside Superstore which has given more authenticity to this leak.
Although new Warzone maps will likely arrive down the line, it’s unlikely that the nuke event will usher in a brand new map. It’s more likely that Verdansk will receive its 1980s overhaul going into Season 3.
When is Warzone Season 3?
It’s expected that Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 3 will take place directly after the nuke event. From the Battle Pass’ end date, Season 2 is set to end on April 22. New seasons usually arrive right after the Battle Pass concludes, so we understand that Warzone Season 3 will begin on April 22, the day after the nuke event.
Aside from whatever happens with Warzone next, Black Ops should also be receiving new content such as weapons, maps, and Operators, although nothing has been revealed by Activision or Treyarch.
The Season will need to fix a couple of niggles that are currently causing some trouble in Warzone at the moment too. The controversial Sykov Pistols are a recent addition to Warzone Season 2 and have already been confirmed to be receiving a nerf.
Once its overpowered nature and incredible exploit are fixed, Raven Software will also need to focus on the frustrating glitch that is causing Warzone Victories to not count towards players’ overall total.
That’s everything we know about Verdansk’s nuke event! As more information is teased and released closer to the time, we’ll continue to update this article.

What is the “Hunt for Adler” event in Cold War & Warzone Season 3?
An exciting new event is set to take place in Cold War & Warzone Season 3, but what exactly is “Hunt for Adler,” and what can you earn?
Amongst all the new content announced for Cold War & Warzone Season 3, a mysterious event has also crept under the radar. “Hunt for Adler” promises rewards and even an Operator skin, and here are all the details.
Russell Adler has been the star of Black Ops Cold War since the game’s launch in November 2019. His scarred face, black shades, and glorious hair have made him one of the most memorable Call of Duty characters in years – he even got an exclusive skin in Season 2.
His story in Cold War has seen him come face-to-face with an evil foe called Stitch, and during Season 2 he was captured. Now, Season 3’s lore tasks players with finding him, and Black Ops Cold War and Warzone players now have to “Hunt for Adler.”
But what exactly is Call of Duty’s Season 3 special limited-time event?
When does Hunt for Adler start in Cold War & Warzone Season 3?
According to the official event description on the Season 3 briefing website, Hunt for Adler will commence “with the launch of Season Three.”
It makes sense given the urgency of the season’s story. Meaning players will be able to start working towards the event’s goals as soon as the opening-day ribbon is metaphorically cut.
How to complete Hunt for Adler in Cold War & Warzone Season 3
Details on Hunt for Adler are rather limited at the moment with complete information to be available when Season 3 launches.
What we do know already is that there will be “unique in-game challenges in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone to learn of Adler’s whereabouts.”
The description is clear in that to earn the special Adler skin, you only need to complete the full set of challenges for either Black Ops Cold War or Warzone, not both.
To reiterate, we have no idea what the challenges are just yet, but when Season 3 launches, we’ll be sure to update this page.
What rewards can you earn for completing Hunt for Adler in Season 3?
For taking part in this limited-time event, CoD players can expect to receive a whole host of cool goodies for their efforts.
Completing challenges will earn players the following:
- Weapon Charms
- Calling Cards
- New Operator skin
- And more…
The challenges will more than likely coincide with your natural gameplay, meaning that you shouldn’t have to go too far out of your way to earn the event rewards.
