Dr Disrespect explains why he hates Apex Legends: “It’s boring! Shooting shields, I don’t like it!”
Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale games in the world, but high-profile streamer Dr Disrespect recently explained why he is not a fan of the first-person shooter.
The past couple of years has seen Apex Legends rise to become one of the most popular video games globally. The battle royale game has become a staple in the gaming community thanks to its action-packed gameplay and mechanics.
However, as with every multiplayer game, some players do not enjoy what Apex Legends offers. One player who still has not been bitten by the Apex Legends bug is Dr Disrespect, who recently explained while streaming why he hates the game.
After being eliminated in a match, Dr Disrespect began to explain his frustrations with Apex Legends and what he does not enjoy about the game. A great deal of his criticism focuses on the large number of bullets it takes to down enemies and how the shield healing aspect of Apex legends.
“I hate this game! It’s boring! Shooting shields, I don’t like it. A full spray and the f**king clip is never enough to knock a guy. Right?”
Dr Disrespect then went on to explain why the high time to kill in Apex Legends is why he believes the battle royale has not risen to be a more popular esports game.
That’s why no one wants to watch this game competitively. Nobody wants to! You can’t create that one shot,” Dr Disrespect continued.
“That’s why it didn’t do good in esports. No one wants to watch it! At the end, everyone is camping out with bubble shields on, camping doors like this: opening and closing, opening and closing. Just to shoot someone’s purple or gold shield twice and then have the gas kill everyone…I Just don’t know, man.”
There is no doubt that Apex Legends has a much higher time to kill than other battle royale games like Warzone, which has been seen as a positive and a negative in the video game community.
However, while Dr Disrespect’s latest remarks focused on why he doesn’t enjoy Apex Legends. he has not been shy about his frustrations with Call of Duty: Warzone and other games in the past.
With Dr Disrespect having explained his optimism for Battlefield 2042 in the past, it looks as though that will be the next game the popular streamer will be trying out with Apex Legends and Warzone not quenching his gaming thirst at this time.
