Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have found a “terrifying” Teal Mask glitch while they explore the Paldea region, and this gets even weirder as trainers reveal an unexpected detail that has surprised everyone.

After the Teal Mask DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the community is eagerly awaiting the release of the Indigo Disk DLC.

In the meantime, fans are exploring the Paldea and Kitakami regions for shiny hunting, catching more of their favorite Pokemon, and keeping a lookout for any Easter eggs or hints for DLC Part 2.

But some trainers have been finding a strange Teal Mask glitch during their adventures through the Paldea region, that has been called “spooky” and “creepy” by many players.

Reddit user ‘PittooPlays’ came across an NPC (non-playable character) trainer from the Teal Mask DLC on various occasions, and asked, “Does anyone know why the Teal Mask trainer keeps appearing?”

The NPC is wearing the Teal Mask DLC Jinbei Festival green outfit and appears in random instances in the Pokemon Scarlet version. But strangely, the OP revealed that they don’t own the DLC on Pokemon Scarlet, and are still getting the trainer appearing in their game.

Many users called it “creepy” and one of them pointed out the reason: “Especially with those white eyes- staring into my soul.” Another user added an interesting bit by stating: “Imagine if this was back in the Gameboy days. This would be a whole video game urban legend omg.”

While others even went on to call it “hilarious” and joked that the OP’s game is “haunted,” it appears that a similar glitch is known to happen with Pokemon or Poke Balls, but this one is certainly something new.

“It’s that glitch where a Pokemon/Poke Ball will mark the center of the room except much more terrifying I’ve never seen it do it with a person model before,” a fan explained.

With a Teal Mask trainer making a haunting appearance in the Paldea region, trainers are worried about a similar glitch in Indigo Disk, as one comment read: “For real that’s super creepy and I hope he vanishes soon and doesn’t follow you to other huge events.”

Bugs and glitches are nothing new for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet community, but this one is certainly weird enough to take even veteran players off-guard.
