“Police Warfare” Under Development by Elastic Games

What began as a YouTube “Concept Video” for Activision to see, has now become a reality. The original designers have started Elastic Games and have already begun working on ‘Police Warfare’. Since they have no affiliation with Activision, it’s safe to assume that they’ll be dropping “Call of Duty” from the title though.

Elastic Games includes developers from Ubisoft, Epic Games, Electronic Arts and Crytek, with a track record that includes titles such as Far Cry 3, Gears Of War, Crysis 1/2, Assassin’s Creed 2, Medal Of Honor: Airborne, Golden Eye, Killzone 2, and Grand Theft Auto 4.

According to GameKicker.com, Lead Designer James Wearing has said that the team have spent the past 6 months in pre-production: designing original characters, vehicles, environments, animation, storyboards and gameplay mechanics. Apparently the team also brought on real law enforcement advisors to provide tactical expertise, resources and knowledge.

Elastic Games have set a $325,000 goal and Friday May 18 is the deadline to invest in the project.
