For those new to the game, NICKMERCS reveals what he thinks is the best sniper to use in Apex Legends Season 10, suggesting that the long-range weapons are great for Ranked Leagues.
Apex Legends has been extremely popular lately thanks to the likes of popular Warzone streamers enjoying the game. Apex Legends Ranked Leagues can be a tough place for newcomers, even streamers, so picking the right weapons is extremely important.
NICKMERCS is one of the popular content creators who recently made the switch to Apex Legends and recently revealed what he thinks is the best sniper to pick up and use in Apex Legends Season 10, so let’s get into it.
In his latest video, NICKMERCS explains the importance of long-ranged weapons in Apex, especially for Ranked Leagues. In Apex Legends, players can gain a better shield through doing damage, meaning no matter what level of shield you have, you can always increase it.
Ultimately, for Ranked Leagues, this is extremely important, as it could be the only way you and your team can get a better shield. The best way to do damage to level up your shield is to have a long-ranged weapon like a sniper.
NICKMERCS reveals his favorite Apex Legends sniper
NICKMERCS believes the Longbow is the best sniper in Apex Legends Season 10 to consistently increase your shields by dishing out damage, showing off some gameplay of him doing just this to an effective degree with his teammates.
The Longbow got a buff in Season 9, making it a great choice for those who enjoy using snipers. Although it did lose the Skullpiercer Hop-Up, the weapon has been balanced to be strong without it.
The Longbow’s fire rate separates it from the Sentinel, a much slower and more difficult weapon to use. Players will need to charge it up with Shield Cells to get the most out of the Sentinel, which can be quite frustrating.
The Longbow is great on its own and only really needs a good sight on it, like a 3x and a 2x-4x to make it most effective. Give the Longbow a try if you’re trying to level up your game in Ranked Leagues, as it could be what you and your team need to gain a better shield and survive.

How to get Apex Legends 20 kill badge: Tips & Tricks
The Apex Legends 20 kill badge is difficult to obtain, but we’ve got some great tips and tricks that just might help you on your journey.
Respawn’s battle royale has many badges for players to obtain, but possibly the most difficult to gain is the Apex Legends 20 kill badge. Here are our tips and tricks to improve your chances.
Having said that, whether you are new to the game or not, you may be aware of the many badges players can gain for each Legend. The Apex Legends 20 kill badge is possibly the most sought-after badge, and these tips and tricks might help you get it.
How to get Apex Legends 20 kill badge
In order to get the 20 kill badge, players must rack up 20 kills in a single battle royale match. Unfortunately, players cannot gain the 20 kill badge in Arenas, but it would be a pretty big achievement if you got that number of kills in the 3v3 mode.
You may think that only Apex Predators and Masters are good enough to get this kind of badge. However, in reality, it takes time and patience to get the 20 kill badge, as well as a little bit of luck.
Here are our tips and tricks for getting the Apex Legends 20 kill badge.
Just getting a victory can be demanding some days in Apex Legends, but the key to reaching your goals and getting something like the 20 kill badge is being patient. Although this isn’t necessarily a gameplay tip, having a mentality of taking your time and working to achieve something can also be applied to your gameplay.

For example, if you’re off to a good start in a match and have picked up some kills off the drop, stay patient and don’t start losing composure. Work out how many enemies are left alive, figure out a plan to eliminate the number of enemies you need, and stick with it.
Similarly to being patient, players will also have to be persistent on their journey to getting the 20 kill badge. Not every match will have the same opportunities, some games will end early, and the chance to get 20 kills may be distant after the first round.
Some games will be different and have an abundance of players right up until the final circles. Just stay persistent and don’t give up. That perfect lobby will come.
Sometimes dropping hot may give you the best chance of obtaining the 20 kill badge, especially if you get off to a good start and survive the chaos. However, sometimes it’s best to drop strategically, get the loot you need, and push the areas you know players will be fighting.
No fill or find a teammate to assist
The worst thing that can happen is for you to be close to your 20 kill badge, and some random teammates swoop in, taking the final kills you need to reach the goal.
You can avoid this by simply unticking “Fill Teammates” in the lobby, allowing you to play games as a solo. Or, you can equally get one of your friends to help you obtain the badge by asking them to assist you, doing damage to enemies but so that you can still get the kills.
Hopefully, these tips can help you get the Apex Legends 20 kill badge. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect, so keep trying!

How to make Apex Legends’ R-301 Carbine in Warzone
Here’s how you can make the incredibly popular and powerful Apex Legends R-301 Carbine Assault Rifle in Warzone.
Many players who enjoy Apex Legends also like to indulge in Warzone and vice versa. So, if you’re a Warzone player wanting to represent a bit of Apex in your play, then hop into some games with this wacky R-301 Carbine loadout in Verdansk.
There’s been a lot of back and forth between Apex and Warzone with many players crossing over to Respawn Entertainment’s shooter – including NICKMERCS.
But a method has been found that allows Warzone players to capture some of the Apex magic by wielding a unique loadout that is reminiscent of the R-301 Carbine from Apex Legends.
Apex Legends R-301 Carbine in Call of Duty: Warzone
Apex players will know that the R-301 Assault Rifle is one of the best weapons in the game as it’s got a lot of the R-99’s speed and hits as hard as a Flatline or a Rampage.
It turns out that the R-301 Carbine is not limited to Apex Legends though, as the Season 10 favorite can also be created in Warzone too.
It’s not a perfect recreation, but thanks to a post in the MWLoadouts subreddit, one user was able to create something that would make you look twice.
Warzone “Apex Legends R-301 Carbine” ISO SMG loadout
- Barrel: FSS Nightshade
- Optic: G.I Mini Reflex
- Stock: FORGE Tac Stalker
- Ammunition: 30 Round Mags
- Rear Grip: FTAC Elite ISO Grip
Aesthetically speaking, this loadout certainly does make the ISO SMG look like the R-301 and would be a perfect body double for it.
Is it going to be the most practical loadout in the world to earn you lots of Warzone dubs? Probably not.
At the end of the day, this loadout is going to be a bit of fun for you to use, it’s something different, and whilst it’s not one of Warzone’s best guns in the game, it adds some welcome novelty to the game.

How does rank reset work in Apex Legends?
Since Apex Legends Season 3, Respawn has split the ranked season into two halves, each spanning one and half months.
At the end of the first split, players will experience a “soft reset” for the second half of the ranked season, which sees their rank reduced by 1.5 tiers.
That means if you ended the first split in Gold II, you will see an Apex Legends rank reset to Silver IV when the second ranked split begins.
Apex Predators, which is the players in the top rank, will be reset to Platinum II, so be wary at the start of the split if you make your way to Platinum fast, you’ll be up against some tough competition.
