Popular Call of Duty YouTuber NICKMERCS presents what he thinks is the best AS VAL loadout for Warzone that players have to try.
The gun in the spotlight today is the AS VAL, a powerful Assault Rifle that has always been considered top tier, but NICKMERCS claims this new class is a must-try.
NICKMERCS describes the AS VAL as the best “pocket weapon” in the game right now, meaning it is the best weapon to pull out and use for those close engagements.
The YouTuber shows this off in the video by running it alongside a PKM, using the LMG for the longer-ranged engagements, while the AS VAL deals with close combat.
The AS VAL is the “fastest killing” weapon in the game right now, and NICKMERCS says it’s “been that way for a long while.” This may change in a future update, but as of Warzone Season 3 Reloaded, it remains the fastest TTK Assault Rifle in the game.
NICKMERCS AS VAL Warzone loadout
- Barrel: VLK 200MM Osa
- Laser: None
- Optic: None
- Stock: Stovl 6P30 Skelet
- Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
- Ammunition: 30 Round Mags
- Rear Grip: Rubberized Grip Tape
NICKMERCS does say the only downside to this weapon is the fact that “it doesn’t have a lot of ammo” and that the recoil can be quite difficult to handle. However, if you can work around these issues by using it in certain situations, controlling the recoil, and hitting your shots, it is the “best to put ’em down.”
“If you’ve ever trusted me, use this class”

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile: Release date, details, rumors, new studio
Activision has hinted that Call of Duty: Warzone could be set for its own individual game on mobile. We have all the latest news and rumors.
CoD: Mobile has been extremely successful, and now Activision are looking to make a mobile version of Warzone. Here’s everything we know about it, including its potential release date, new information, and more.
CoD: Mobile is also massively successful, and now the developers are looking to make another hand-held title. They have plans to make a fully-fledged Warzone game that will be available on mobile.
Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty Warzone: Mobile so far.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile release date
The latest updates on the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile project suggest that the handheld battle royale game could see a release as early as 2022.
Renowned video game leaker Tom Henderson announced the revelation in a December 7 Tweet saying: “Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is scoped for 2022. It was recently added to the PlaytestCloud database.”

It was back in March 2021 that Activision sent out a survey asking Call of Duty: Mobile players if they’d like to see Verdansk come to the handheld CoD game.
Since Verdansk has been replaced with the Caldera map in Warzone Pacific, we will most likely see players exploring that Island instead when the mobile version of the game finally comes out.
It’s entirely possible that the game has been in development for some time already. There’s also the obvious positive in that Warzone already exists, so the devs already know what works, what doesn’t, and how to transition it to handheld devices.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile details & new studio
The topic of conversation was really put under the spotlight when Activision announced in a LinkedIn post that, “Activision Mobile has put up new roles! Teams are focused on Live Operations and content expansion across CoD Mobile and Warzone.”
The official website advertised for over 50 roles with many geared towards “a new mobile title.” It’s possible that Activision wants this knowledge to become more public to counteract the rival title from EA / DICE – Battlefield Mobile.
If we go even further back to September 2020, we can see that Activision was recruiting for an “Executive Producer, Features” for a project called “WZM.” This further supports the idea that they’ve had this idea in the pipeline for some time.
June 7, 2021, saw a new job listing for a Mobile Producer at a new Mobile dedicated development studio appear with the job listing stating that the role will be working on a “new AAA mobile game in the Call of Duty franchise.”

It has not yet been confirmed that this role and the new studio will be working on the rumored Warzone Mobile game, but it would make sense considering that it fits the bill for being a AAA game in the franchise.
Furthermore, ModernWarzone reported that the most recent Activision Investor Call featured an interesting comment saying: “Call of Duty is getting a new mobile brand that they believe will take the franchise to new heights.”
On January 28, 2022, the mobile games developer, Digital Legends Entertainment tweeted that they’re looking for talented people to work on an “unannounced mobile title within the Call of Duty universe.”
Their website shows open positions for designers, programmers, producers, artists, and other talent. It’s possible that they could be putting together the team that will be working on Warzone Mobile.
However, it’s worth keeping in mind that these developers haven’t confirmed that the project they’re working on is a mobile version of Warzone. So, we’ll need to level our expectations until we learn more.
Once again, unless a full, story-based campaign is coming, CoD Mobile already exists, and with Zombies already included, it would naturally have to be some kind of battle royale experience, surely.
News, and even rumors, are still very scarce concerning the potential Call of Duty Warzone: Mobile project right now. But as always, once we start hearing more news, you can read it here first at Charlie INTEL.

Forgotten Cold War weapon is Warzone’s highest K/D Assault Rifle
While Vanguard guns dominate Warzone lobbies, it’s actually a forgotten Cold War Assault Rifle that boasts the highest K/D ratio.
The C58 has almost been forgotten in Warzone Pacific’s Vanguard-heavy meta, but the weapon actually boasts the best K/D of any Assault Rifle.
Vanguard weapons have been dominating Warzone’s list of most popular guns, with everyone keen to try out and level up the brand-new guns. However, YouTuber JGOD recently explained that it’s Black Ops Cold War’s weapons you should be using.
The C58 Assault Rifle burst into Warzone’s meta in Cold War Season 4, but nerfs and new guns arriving means it doesn’t even crack the top 20 most popular anymore. That may change, as it has the highest kill to death ratio (K/D) of any Assault Rifle in the game, and could even retake the top spot.
JGOD pointed out on January 26 that the C58 boasts the highest K/D of any weapon in the Warzone, meaning that players who use it are typically performing much better than those who use other weapons.
Now on January 28, WZ Ranked’s data reveals that the Owen Gun has overtaken the C58 by 0.1, making this Vanguard SMG the highest K/D weapon in the game. The Owen Gun currently holds an impressive 1.35 K/D, while the C58 comes in just behind at 1.34.
While there’s every chance the C58 reclaims its throne, it’s still the highest K/D Assault Rifle in Warzone Pacific Season 1. The EM2 is the next best with 1.27, and Vanguard’s Cooper Carbine comes in third with a 1.10 K/D.
JGOD explained that while the EM2 was considered overpowered, the C58 was “a hair worse.” The EM2 got nerfed while the C58 remained untouched, so many didn’t realize that it had become one of the best weapons in the game.
Highest K/D Warzone C58 loadout
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 18.5″ Task Force
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: 45 Rnd Drum
These are the meta attachments for the C58, and this specific build has a whoppingly high 1.52 K/D ratio.
The Agency Suppressor and Task Force Barrel increase the C58’s range and damage, making it lethal at a medium-long range. Then, the Axial Arms 3x optic offers the perfect level of magnification to hit these far-off targets.
The Field Agent Grip will keep the C58 steady, and the 45 Rnd Drum gives you enough bullets for all your battle royale needs.

CoD leakers claim Warzone may never get console FOV slider
As rumors surrounding Warzone 2 come to light, CoD leakers have shared some disappointing news for console players hoping for an FOV slider.
While console Warzone players have been desperate for an FOV slider to hit the game, prominent leakers claim that it’s “not possible” on previous-gen hardware. However, it may arrive with the rumored Warzone 2.
A field of view (FOV) slider allows players to increase how much information the game displays – helping you spot enemies that would otherwise be cut off at the side of the screen. Both Cold War and Vanguard received FOV sliders on console, but it’s still missing from Warzone.
Players have been begging Raven to add one to the game but it’s looking more and more unlikely. Rumors have been swirling around Warzone 2, and CoD leakers have claimed that the original Warzone won’t receive a console FOV slider but the sequel could.
In a livestream discussing everything they know about 2023’s rumored Warzone 2, industry insiders Tom Henderson and TheMW2Ghost discussed how Warzone’s sequel may only arrive on PC and next-gen consoles.
This would allow the devs to go all-out in developing the new CoD battle royale, without being limited by hardware that would be ten years old at the time of release.
Henderson is confident that “Warzone 2 will be current-gen only,” and the MWGhost said that this would allow them to implement an FOV slider without having to balance the old and current-gen consoles.
However, this news makes it extremely unlikely that Warzone’s current iteration will receive one. Henderson said that “the reason we’re not getting an FOV slider is because it’s technically not possible.”
MW2Ghost explained that “to sustain a nice resolution, an FOV slider would sacrifice graphics.” Console Warzone features dynamic resolution scaling, where the game reduces its visuals to maintain steady performance. An FOV slider would likely be so taxing that Warzone would either have to sacrifice graphics or performance.
Raven Software have said that they’re aware of requests for an FOV slider, but haven’t given any timeframe.
There’s no guarantee an FOV slider will arrive on a next-gen version of Warzone, but it’s much more likely than it arriving in Warzone’s current iteration.
