Infinity Ward has announced on Twitter that they have banned over 70,000 cheaters in Call of Duty: Warzone since its launch, up from 50,000 from their announcement a week before.

The new tweet posted by the studio says they are actively looking at more anti-cheat updates and deploying more dedicated updates to it soon.

They will have ‘more details to share soon’ the studio says.

Many fans have been complaining about cheaters on the PC version of Warzone, and with cross play enabled, it also effects console players.

Infinity Ward promises that they have “zero tolerance for cheaters” and are always “watching.”

Warzone stats prove LAPA is Season 6’s most underrated SMG

Stats from YouTuber TrueGameData proves that Season 6’s LAPA SMG is one of the most underrated weapons in Warzone.

LAPA SMG in Warzone The Haunting event

The LAPA SMG arrived with Warzone Season 6’s The Haunting event, and even though it’s far from the most popular weapon, stats from TrueGameData prove it to be an extremely underrated weapon.

Season 6 marks Black Ops Cold War’s final season and the last gun, the LAPA, joined the fray as part of The Haunting event. While perhaps not powerful enough in Cold War, new stats prove it to be the most underrated weapon in Season 6.

YouTuber and Warzone statistician TrueGamaData compared the LAPA with two of the best SMGs, the OTs 9 and PPSH-41, and, even though it’s only the 23rd most popular weapon, he discovered that it’s a “top tier” Season 6 SMG.

What makes the LAPA so interesting is that it has three barrels that change how it behaves. Each one has its benefits, and TrueGameData compared each of them to his favorite SMGs, the OTs 9 and PPSH-41.

TrueGameData used the default site to compare the LAPA’s time to kill with the OTs and PPSH-41, and the LAPA’s BR Compact barrel came out on top.

However, when hitting a combination of different body parts, true to real players’ aim, the OTs 9 is best at close-range. The LAPA does have more range, with the Rifled barrel having the best long-range TTK of the three SMGs.

Because of these stats, its damage profile puts it in an extremely competitive spot.

Warzone LAPA has fastest movement speed

TrueGameData also compared the LAPA’s mobility with the OTs and PPSH and found that it has the fastest movement and ADS speed in the game. He said that these translate to the other mobility aspects, making it speedy across the board.

So if you’re looking for a speedy SMG, you can’t go wrong with the LAPA.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 7.9″ BR Compact
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Optic: Microflex LED
  • Magazine: STANAG 50 Rnd

TrueGameData’s LAPA loadout is built around the 7.9″ BR Compact barrel, which gives a solid TTK at close range. The other attachments are standard for a Cold War SMG build, with a minor change.

He said that “the Iron Sights are terrible,” so you’ll want to use the Microflex LED instead. While this does leave out a mobility attachment, TrueGameData said that the gun is mobile enough that you can afford an Optic.

With the LAPA SMG boasting extremely competitive damage stats and the fastest mobility in the game, don’t be surprised if it starts climbing up the most popular weapons list as Season 6 marches on.

Vanguard devs explain why game size will be much smaller than Warzone & Cold War

Thanks to new tech, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s file size is set to be much smaller than Warzone and Cold War at launch.

Call of Duty players have grown increasingly frustrated with Warzone and Cold War’s massive file size, but Activision has explained why the problem will be fixed in Vanguard.

As Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Black Ops Cold War continue to update, the games’ file sizes have kept growing. Black Ops Cold War is now sitting at around 200 GB, with Warzone adding at least another 50 GB. If you have a smaller hard drive, Call of Duty doesn’t leave much room for anything else.

Activision already allows you to uninstall certain aspects of the games such as Campaign and Zombies, but they have plans to significantly reduce Vanguard’s file size at launch.

“Good news for hard drives everywhere,” tweeted Call of Duty on October 26. “Vanguard’s install size at launch will be significantly below previous Call of Duty releases.”

They didn’t reveal Vanguard’s exact file size, but players can expect to “save up to 30%-50%+ on next-gen console and PC hard drive disk space.” Although last-gen consoles weren’t mentioned, next-gen editions take up significantly more room, so this should bring the sizes more in-line.

This will be done through “new on-demand texture streaming tech,” which is already available in Modern Warfare and Warzone for PC. Rather than taking up space on your hard drive, textures are downloaded on the go. Warzone players previously saved around 25 GB when it was introduced, but their new tech appears to be more effective at reducing file size.

Of course, this could cause issues for players with a poor internet connection, so it remains to be seen if it’ll be optional.

This also lines up with the Microsoft Store listing that Vanguard will be 75 GB on Xbox One, and 95 GB on Xbox Series X|S. These early sizes are much smaller than Cold War’s 133 GB launch size.

Warzone and Vanguard will integrate later this year, bringing the new RICOCHET anti-cheat and new Pacific map. Warzone is currently tied to Modern Warfare, but it’s expected to shift over to Vanguard with Season 1. This could bring across the new tech, but we’ll need to wait for official confirmation.

We’re less than a fortnight away from Vanguard’s November 5 release, so we expect to find out more details before launch.

Crazy Warzone Ghost AMP63 loadout is dominating pro tournaments

There is a AMP63 loadout going around that’s dominating Warzone tournaments by letting players go Ghost for the entire game.

Professional Warzone players are frustrated with a particular AMP63 loadout that lets players grab the Ghost perk early and is being used to dominate Warzone tournaments.

Warzone tournaments serve as an opportunity for fans to watch some of their favorite professional players compete against each other for the chance to win a massive prize pool.

However, a new problem has popped up in these tournaments as fans are reporting an AMP63 pistol loadout that’s letting players dominate custom matches by letting them Ghost for most of the game.

Warzone players use Ghost to keep out of sight of their opponents. However, almost the entire lobby was using it during the $50,000 Symfuhny Showdown, letting players stay hidden for most of the game.

This was all because of the following AMP63 pistol loadout:

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 7.2” Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Ammunition: STANAG 30 RND
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap

The Agency Suppressor and 7.2 Task Force barrel ensure that the weapon is capable of dishing out plenty of damage at range. Players can also use sound suppression to stay off minimaps.

The Tiger Team Spotlight and Serpent Wrap help improve the weapon’s speed and reactivity. While the gun’s ammo count isn’t impressive, this loadout ensures that the weapon has ideal damage and mobility.

After the tournament, various players began tweeting about what happened. Competitive player Repullze stated that Ghost should be removed from custom matches in Warzone.

“Ghost has no place in customs,” tweeted the player. Various other Warzone pros also share this sentiment, as they feel it’s unfair for players to be able to hide for the full duration of a match.

Rated and Aydan were the first and second-place finishers in the tournament, and they also discussed how Ghost’s prevalence causes problems in a stream. However, they both attributed the strategy’s success to the AMP63’s own strength.

Warzone Season 6 introduced various buffs and nerfs to help spice things up, but the AMP63 remains unchanged, retaining its position as a strong secondary option for players to close out gunfights.
