Overwatch 2 Heros Junker Queen and Roadhog are set to get some major tweaks in the future, as the devs outline incoming changes.

Overwatch 2 Season 2 brought the arrival of Ramattra, a new Tank Hero who finally received changes in the December 15 patch after players felt that buffs were needed to improve the Tank’s viability against others in the category.

While Ramattra may now become a popular pick in the Tank category, Roadhog remains a dominant choice thanks to his incredibly strong damage output and ability to take out squishy Heros with one move.

Further, Junker Queen has been slightly out of favor due to the dominance of other Tanks, but this could all change as the devs have outlined changes for both Junker Queen and Roadhog.

The December 15 patch brought a variety of changes to multiple Heros in Overwatch 2, except Roadhog and Junker Queen. However, after the patch notes were announced, the devs revealed that both Heros will be undergoing changes.

Overwatch 2 Roadhog nerf

For Roadhog, Overwatch 2 developer Alec Dawson spoke during a recent Twitch stream with Emongg and touched on the lack of Roadhog changes for Overwatch 2 despite the Tank’s obvious strength.

Luckily, for those looking to see this hog of a Tank nerfed, it seems the devs are planning to introduce a “soft rework” for the Hero “sometime in January” 2023. It’s unclear what this rework entails, but it is clear that the devs are looking at his kit and planning changes.

The main issue with Roadhog is his Hook ability, which allows him to pull enemy Heroes in and obliterate them often in one shot. This may all change in the future, as the devs state that Roadhog “is going to get pretty nerfed.”

Overwatch 2 Junker Queen buff

As for Junker Queen, the devs announced on Twitter that despite being missed out on the December 15 patch notes, “Junker Queen buffs will be coming soon in the Mid-Season Patch.”

The mid-season patch for Overwatch 2 Season 2 is set for “the first week of January,” so we’ll keep you posted as and when the details for the patch are released.

Although not much is known about these Junker Queen buffs, Alec Dawson did state that it will be a “really spicy change” during the Twitch stream with Emongg, indicating that it could be huge.

We’ll have to wait for the mid-season update for Overwatch 2 Season 2 to find out more about the Junker Queen buffs and potentially the Roadhog rework/nerfs.
