Overwatch 2 Season 2 is now in full effect and the headlines have been dominated by the arrival of Ramattra. Though, not without criticism as players feel he isn’t as strong as he could be.

The game’s opening few weeks continue with its next chapter already – Overwatch 2 Season 2. The free-to-play Hero shooter delivers even more of the high-octane action that players have come to expect, and new character Ramattra only adds to the chaos.

Blizzard has already delivered some good news prior to the arrival of Season 2 with confirmation that Ramattra would be easier to unlock.

However, now that Overwatch 2 Season 2 is live, fans of the game that have already had hands-on experience with Ramattra are finding the Tank class to be “not OP.”

Generally, when a new character is added to a live service game they steal the spotlight due to being quite powerful in a bid to push Premium Season Passes and bundles.

It doesn’t seem to be the case with Ramattra, and a Reddit post has featured some interesting comments on the current abilities and capabilities of Ramattra.

“Feels like Junker Queen, in that it takes a lot of effort to play her at the same standard as the simpler tanks,” said one player, and another offered: “I think he needs some small buffs, his shield feels like a*s.”

More criticism was aimed at the hero’s shield with one user saying: “He’s pretty mid tbh. Main thing holding him back right now in my opinion is survivability. He only has 450 HP and the only ability he has that mitigates damage can only be used in his nemesis form. Plus his shield sucks a*s, it’s just a worse sigma shield.”

One player believes the character was badly nerfed before his arrival in the game too: “They must have nerfed him before release cause damn he is mid-tier at best so we had to wait for the Hero gotta grind the Battle Pass to get him just to realize that we gotta wait until he gets buffed.”

Blizzard will know the pick rates for Overwatch 2 characters, so they will be able to monitor stats, as well as general feedback about Ramattra to see if any serious changes need making.
