Overwatch 2 has had a significant impact in the gaming industry, especially when it comes to the FPS genre. There is one feature from Call of Duty, however, that players feel could make the game just that much better.

Since the launch of its predecessor, Overwatch 2 has had a huge impact on the standard of how online multiplayer FPS games work. It doesn’t have everything, though, and there is one particular feature fans would love to see in-game.

Death Comms are a popular feature from Call of Duty that allow players to hear the last words of the players they have killed. It’s been around for a long while, and now it’s something they want in Overwatch 2.

Overwatch Cavalry, an Overwatch 2 news page on X, shared a video that showed how Death Comms could work in Overwatch 2 on February 4.

In the clip, which featured Overwatch 2 streamer Metro, you can hear his angry words as he is killed by Kiriko for a few seconds before it cuts off. Overwatch Cavalry also showed how the UI may look for this feature.

Fans in the comments loved the idea, saying that it would be “hilarious” and would give them the opportunity to relieve their grievances with the enemy team.

However, there were some concerns with how the Overwatch community would react to a feature like this in-game. While some said it could work for Quick Play, others were worried that players may report others for hearing what they say in response to dying.

“It would be funny to see how long this would last in Overwatch. People would be reported every 10 seconds with the amount of slurs being said,” a fan commented on the thread.

While this is not something Blizzard has shown any move toward implementing, fans thought it may be an interesting idea to get in-game. If it ever happens, we will be sure to let you know.
