Stats in Palworld seem quite basic at first glance, but they have a drastic impact on gameplay. There’s a limited number of Stat Points in the game, and if you’re worried about spending them incorrectly, here are the best Palworld stats worth upgrading.

Palworld has captivated gamers around the world and despite being in early access, it has already sold millions of copies. The active player count on Steam is soaring high with each passing day and it could very well be the biggest game of early 2024 beating the likes of Tekken 8.

Palworld is similar to Pokemon in many aspects and things like Pal designs and Pal Spheres are under scrutiny. However, in hindsight, the game incorporates survival mechanics as well, and you can spend countless hours exploring the open world, upgrading your Pals with Skill Fruits, and building a massive base with friends.

Stats are an equally important part of your progress, and here are the best stats to upgrade in Palworld.

All Palworld stats and what they do

In the table below, you’ll find all the stats in Palworld and how they impact your character:

Palworld statEffect of one Stat PointBasic effectImpact on gameplay
HP+100This is your health and you’ll die when it reaches 0.More HP boosts your survivability in the open world and combat.
Stamina+10You use stamina while running, climbing, swinging tools, and jumping. The character can’t run when it reaches 0.The stat can indirectly increase your Work Speed as well by giving you more time to swing a tool like a Pickaxe.
Attack+2This is the damage you deal to Pals and other things.Only Armor, passives, and Partner Skills grant this stat and it boosts your survivability like HP because the damage you take from different sources is reduced.
DefenseResistance to damage.Only Armor, passives, and Partner Skills grant this stat and it boost your survivability like HP because the damage you take from different sources is reduced.
Work Speed+50Work Speed determines how quickly you can perform handiwork, plant, produce medicines, water, and gather items. Lets you complete base tasks efficiently but you’ll never be able to compete with Pals in terms of Work Speed.
Weight+50Determines the amount of things you can carry. You’ll become slow if carrying more than your capacity. Grappling Guns help in moving quickly during this stage and some Pals have passives that increase Weight.

All Palword stats ranked from best to worst

This list should help you identify the best stats worth upgrading in Palworld:

  1. Weight is the best stat in Palworld which you should upgrade as often as possible. This is because the game is largely about farming items that eventually help in base-building and slow movement due to being encumbered is annoying, to say the least. In the longer run, you’ll save a lot of time by investing in this stat.
  2. HP is the the second-best stat in Palworld as it ensures bosses don’t end up eliminating you in a couple of hits. Although your Pals will take charge in such battles, less HP can instantly end the battle.
  3. Stamina stat becomes less useful once you have good ground and flying mounts. Ground mounts move around quickly and flying mounts remove the need to climb. So, anything more than 150 is enough for Stamina.
  4. Work Speed is a stat that you’ll rarely use in Palworld which is why we don’t recommend spending Points on it. Pals do most of the base-building in the game and your character’s Work Speed doesn’t matter at all.
  5. Attack – You aren’t supposed to attack anything in Palworld as Pals, yet again, take care of this. Moreover, spending Stat Points marginally increases Attack, and spending them elsewhere will be more worthwhile.

Long story short, Weight, HP, and Stamina are the best stats to upgrade in Palworld while Attack and Work Speed do not require any attention at all.

How to reset stats in Palworld

You can reset stats in Palworld through the Memory Wiping Machine which is a consumable item created on an Electric Medicine Workshop. The workshop unlocks after you reach level 43 and you’ll require these items to build it:

  • 10 Circuit Board
  • 20 Carbon Fiber
  • 40 Refined Ingot

With the Electric Medicine Workshop unlocked, you can make a Memory Wiping Machine with these ingredients:

  • 50 Horns
  • 50 Bones
  • 50 Pal Fluids
  • 99 Beautiful Flowers

Alternatively, you can find the Memory Wiping Machine in chests that open with Silver Keys. This is clearly the more convenient method but involves luck.
