Palworld coin farm exploit has players sell Black Marketeer to himself
PocketpairThe Black Marketeer in Palworld is a hidden vendor you can sell your Pals to. But, one player on Reddit has managed to make the vendor “sell himself” instead.
It’s been over a month since Palworld‘s seismic launch on Xbox and PC. The Pokemon-inspired, third-person survival game has been a resounding success, and it even managed to attract millions of players during just the first week of going online.
Developed by Pocketpair, Palworld packs various mechanics that blend Pokemon-style capture gameplay with some staple third-person survival/crafting features. It lets players wander around a colorful open world, gather resources, and build some incredible structures.
At the heart of the experience are the various Pals players can capture. These distinct creatures are essential for almost everything, including base building and combat. Pals can also net you some coins if you choose to sell them, and the best way to do this is by locating a Black Marketeer.
These hooded vendors are tricky to find but they’ll happily purchase any Pals you’re willing to get rid of. The shady NPCs also sell rare and powerful Pals that are otherwise found inside the Wildlife Sanctuary locations. All this and more makes the Black Marketeer a useful vendor to keep around, and some players have even made him a permanent fixture at their base by capturing him.
Now, a player on Reddit has taken things up a notch by forcing the vendor to buy his own freedom. It all emerged through a post by user ‘zerotheskull’ aptly titled, “I made Black Marketeer sell himself.” A gameplay clip attached to the post showed off how they accomplished the feat.
It started with an attempt to capture the NPC, as they flung a Pal Sphere in his direction before triggering the dialogue menu to prevent him from getting hostile. It took another attempt but the user managed to capture the NPC, and this time they headed straight into the sell menu.
Thanks to a glitch of some sort, the Black Marketeer appeared as a sellable ‘Pal’ in the menu for a sum of 3750 coins. This effectively meant that the NPC sold himself, or rather, he bought his freedom and vanished into thin air.
Players on the Palworld subreddit were stunned by the clip and the OP also provided some additional context, “If you catch them, you can sell them for like 3500, or butcher them for another 10-15k and a gold key.”
The method can easily be used as a coin farm and it wouldn’t be surprising to see other players taking advantage of the exploit.
